yeah...my Dell Inspiron 4000 doesn't even power up without the right memory...I see the power light go on when I hit the on switch, but when I let go of it, it powers off. For some reason generic SODIMM's don't work in the Dell I got...I'm still not sure why...

Whats the cheapist memory that word work in my dell inspiron. The best price i found is from DELL and is $33 for 128 and $100 for 256. Its cheaper than the kingston. Has anyone found any cheaper that would work>
