So, did that work for anyone?

I just emailed customer support and asked them if they would refund me the difference. Received a response same day that said, and I'm paraphrasing, "No problem."

My sub renewed earlier this month. It really doesn't hurt to try unless you have an unhealthy fear of rejection.

First time Prime member, I bit. I like how in the trial, you can immediately turn off auto renew so you won't get charged but for paying customers, the only option is to be sent an email reminder 3 days before renew. I can deal with $67 but Prime is not worth $100 in my case.

Tried Prime Video last night. While the picture was great, the audio was out of sync. Only tried one movie, so not sure if it is isolated. The was with the app in my Samsung SmartTV. Netflix, HBO, Hulu/Showtime apps work outstanding, so I don't think it has to do with the streaming app. By the way, the movie was the River Phoenix movie "A Thing Called Love." the picture quality was awesome, blowing away the lousy DVD I bought a few years ago.

For what it's worth, I've never experienced audio out of sync with Prime.

I've experienced it once or twice in various services, including on a cable DVR recording.

Stopping playback and starting up again usually solves the problem. Sometimes the initial buffering or file initiation didn't occur like it should have, a hitch occurred in the processing.

As for the audio sync problems, I didn't really notice it in other Amazon videos, including Transparent series. Maybe a little, but stopping and starting solved. So I went back to the movie "The Thing Called Love" and the audio sync was horrible, and stopping and starting maybe helped for a few seconds. So it would appear isolated to this particular video. Overall I like Prime Video so far. Not really comparable to Netflix, but for $67 a year, even if all I do is video, a great bargain. Not to mention the other Amazon goodies like fast free shipping, etc.

BTW, Transparent is great. Kind of like a reality show of Caitlyn Jenner, except it has outstanding acting, outstanding writing, and no, praise the lord, Khardashians.
