Is it worth it in your opinion the membership fee ? I like Amazon Prime but wasn't sure if anyone here uses Amazon Fresh as well.
 
Do you like the idea of sacks of groceries arriving at your door?

I find it useful for ordering staples and supplies like cans of soup and chili, bottles of juice, paper towels and TP, etc.

Here in the greater Seattle area it used to be $10 per delivery. Now that they are making it a $200/year add-on to Prime I'm debating whether or not to keep using them.
 
Not available where I live. I go to the store after I drop my kids off at baseball or soccer practice or boy scouts, or whatever. Gives me an hour to buy groceries and the like. I don't see myself using this even if it was available.

w/ Amazon Fresh I can buy my groceries while on the shitter and have everything at my doorstep before I wake up.
 
We have local supermarkets that will deliver to your home. Seriously, this is why we've become anti-social. What's wrong with going to the Supermarket to buy groceries 1-2 times a week. I walked to the gym today and found $20 in a parking lot!

buying it online is far more efficient and often-times cheaper. Amazon Fresh gives me access to the good butcher 45 minutes away and normally costs $2 for parking.

That's true.

I'm contemplating buying sneakers either on Amazon or at store which is 15 minutes away. I might go with Amazon because it's so convenient.
 
I like picking and choosing my own meats, produce, and fruits. And I always check the dates on any food item. I don't trust they're going to send me the freshest stock.
 
I did the month free trial. It wasn't worth it to us. The selection wasn't big enough so we kept having to go to the store anyway. My favorite part was that they deliver frozen food with dry ice, which led to lots of fun with my kids.

We buy most of our shoes on Amazon or Zappos. But food quality can vary unlike shoes. The only thing you have to worry about with shoes is if it fits. With food, I'm always going to question if I received the best and the freshest item from their stock.

Pretty much this. I can see where it might be useful for staples, but for staples, I buy them in bulk when they're on sale. I.e., I think we have enough toilet paper for about 15 months; and if I don't make wine, enough sugar for about 5 years.

But, for steaks? I'm picking them out myself. There's usually quite a bit of variety in the quality of the steaks, depending on whether they're on the rib end, or butt end of the loin. Veggies & Fruit - I'm picking myself, e.g., I want the bananas to be just green enough so that they're not brown when I'm using the last ones, and not so green that I can eat one that day.

Plus, a lot of times I'm walking through the store and, "hey, look, those crab legs look awesome!" Or, "meh, those crab legs look kind of skinny." I don't care what the price per pound is, I want quality food. Bacon - I check the back of the package. If the first package looks really good, it's like winning the lottery. Sometimes I'll then try to find a 2nd package that looks really good.

I suppose if your diet consisted of mostly processed stuff, Amazon "fresh" might work well, since there's little difference between a box of Kraft macaroni and "cheese" today and tomorrow.
 
There's already have a service like that here called Grocery Gateway, which is run by one of the big supermarket chains. It's been around since the early 2000s.

It's ideal for seniors who may not be as mobile as they used to be. At 92, my Grandma can still do her own groceries but it tires her out. She also can't lift heavy items. You're lucky now if they bag your stuff, let alone help you take it out to the car. So she doesn't go as often as she should.

I'm sure Amazon.ca will get around to bringing the Fresh program here around the same time they bring us Instant Video. Which is anywhere between now and never. 🙄
