After watching the interviews on Tavis Smiley I was excited to see this movie.

After I saw it, I was really disappointed. The movie wasn't terrible, but it was squarely BAD.

I liked this movie a lot...very story driven. With a name like Crash maybe some of you were expecting a summer blockbuster action type movie which are usually all fluff.

I thought it was bad. It seemed like they were really trying hard to make a point and get a positive message across but they just fell short of actually doing it.

Oh just a FYI - a debate already went on in OT. It's really 2.35:1 as opposed to 1.85:1, as stated by Amazon and on the DVD case itself.

Nope that ain't the same movie but I bet it's in the same league of quality. Personally I thought the movie sucked balls and I was pissed I spent 3.50 on it a BlockBuster.

Wow, I wouldn't think anyone who had good taste in movies could hate Crash. For those who didn't like it, what are some movies that you do like?

i really thought the movie connected with the viewer quite well. actually touched me quite deeply. i know some people who thought it sucked, but i know others who really enjoyed it.

it's one of those movies where the audience is split both ways.

They were showing that every character had a good and bad side. The racist cop ends up setting aside his prejudice and saving the woman, the good cop end up stereotyping a passenger and shoots him dead. Every character in the movie has a moral failing, usually with an ironic twist.

It really only suffers from the too-convenient "small world syndrome."

Awful movie though...

I weep for you!

I dunno about that...I didn't think it was awful but just pretty hypocritical with how it was really unfairly portraying asians...seriously what was with the woman being all crazy and yelling at people and being a lousy driver. And then her husband is trafficking people?! Yeah that sounds like your typical asian person, a-holes.

Seriously if there was like a balanced portrayal like every other race got, I wouldn't have been so damn pissed off at the end of the movie. But seriously, the best any asian got was the insurance adjuster who said they weren't going to pay the claim. Real nice Crash, real nice.

Go read the IMDB boards, lol. There's at least like 3 threads pointing this stupidity out. Grr.
