They were showing that every character had a good and bad side. The racist cop ends up setting aside his prejudice and saving the woman, the good cop end up stereotyping a passenger and shoots him dead. Every character in the movie has a moral failing, usually with an ironic twist.
It really only suffers from the too-convenient "small world syndrome."
Yeah everyone except the asian people who are obviously all lousy drivers and human traffickers. Grrr....seriously where was the positive.
For a movie trying to make a point about racism, it's fairly lame that it went for the stereotypical racist portrayal of asians in hollywood...seriously where the hell was the good asian person to counter this?
