Given that Walmart and Amazon are in a price war over many items, might even be worth checking that Walmart.com link again at 3 PM and see if a new round of inventory shows up.

I tried for the Amazon one, i'm skeptical if it will actually go though. I kept refreshing at Walmart, never saw it come in stock.
EDIT, according to the site, if you don't see the -$0.01 in the email, you didn't get it so I canceled my order.

It looks like it was in stock for several minutes at Walmart.

Was in checkout process, debating whether I really have anything else I want to buy online at Walmart, and it was out of stock when I finally reviewed order.

Amazon looks like it went out of stock in a minute or so.

I think I got in on this but the price was 199.99. I did however follow the link from the lightning deals page and used 1 click buy. It just turned 3:01 when I was looking at the order confirmation page. still waiting on my confirmation email to confirm it.

I received my order confirmation page and it said $199.99. I literally followed the link when it popped up and clicked the 1-click button and I still did not get in on the deal. I cancelled my order. Guess they really do want me to shop at walmart this year.

amazon is pretty bad with these deals. I have never gotten in on any of these limited offers. If you used 1 click buy and couldn't get it, thats ridiculous.

I got in on it this morning.

FYI my email looked like:

Subtotal of Items: $199.99
Shipping & Handling: $9.48
Super Saver Discount: -$9.48
Lightning Deal: -$0.01
------
Total for this Order: $199.98

I'm guessing people are correct in that if you don't have a line item for Lightning Deal: -$0.01 the promo code won't come through.

This is beyond idiotic.. Who the hell is home on Sunday at 9am or 12pm? Most people will miss this deal, and I'm sure that is what Amazon is counting on. The xbox 360 arcade should cost $100 tops given it's flimsy reputation, cheap hardware and manufacturing quality. Sale or not.

Fuck it, I'm sure I'll eventually get one new for $100 come Christmas. :(

And yes, I am mostly saying all this because I missed the damn deal....

the only reason I was gonna try one was the price, I refuse to pay that much for a console. Guess i'll try FS/FT or something until I get a cheap one.

I got a cancellation notice from Amazon.com and I e-mailed csr to check and see if the promotional price and gift code had actually been in the order even though I didn't see it initially. The csr told me to order at regular price and then contact them at a feedback e-mail link they provided and they were supposed to change price to $99.98.

I am guessing that others who got a valid order in during their gold box offer, but cancelled like me because they didn't see promo in order might also be able to get price adjustment.

Just placed order, so will have to see if they adjust price, or I will just cancel it.

Amazon Customer Service is usually really good, so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

but some people did see the promo in the order summary, didn't they? I'm so dissapointed I didn't get through on this
