Unfortunately there is another reason to get BC2 - BF3 will have more in common with BC2 than BF2. I mean, sure, there will be 64 prone and jets back, but 3D spotting is back too. BC2 will provide excellent practice for shooting 3d spot triangles in preparation for BF3.

Hardcore does more than just turn 3D spotting off, that not everyone likes.

With that said, *I* like hardcore, but the people I play with do not. Unworkable solution therefore.

And 3D spotting was only an example. A GOOD thing from BC2 is that it does not have random deviation from BF2. Still, it's a good idea to get accustomed to that because if you take a BF2 approach to combat, you'll get sprayed at 200m with a submachine gun which doesn't really happen in BF2.
