The deal is back up on Amazon, just ordered mine based on the positive evaluations of those who already received theirs! :D

Hey, ShyChineseGuy, what is your estimated delivered day? Cause the rebate must be postmarked by Sept. 15th, my earliest delivered day is 16th cause I choose the free shipping. Do you guys think Amazon will refund me if their deliver time void my rebate?

I took the free shipping, and according to Amazon's Auto-Confirm message:

Order #: ###-#######-#######
Shipping Method: FREE Super Saver Shipping (5-9 business days)
Shipping Preference: Group my items into as few shipments as possible.
Subtotal of Items: $349.99
Shipping & Handling: $12.66
Promotional Certificates: -$12.66
------
Total for this Order: $349.99

Shipping estimate for these items: September 3, 2003
Delivery estimate: September 8, 2003 - September 9, 2003 1 "Cornea MP704B 17" LCD Monitor"
Electronics;
$349.99 each

It might be worth $ to select a quicker delivery method to take advantage of this rebate, IMHO. :D

As more come into existance prices drop, and generally LCD's are not real expensive to make, from what I know, because they use a hell of a lot less materials than a CRT...

Amazon keeps changing the price of this monitor! The first time I looked, the price was $429.99 and it appeared that the deal was dead. Then the next time I checked, the deal was back on, with the monitor at $349.99. Now the monitor is $369.99 and they can't guarantee delivery in time for the rebate deadline. You have to get the best deal you can, when you can! Sometimes, its all about luck! :)

Yep. If you look last year, the 17" monitors were in the $600-$700 range. Now they are in the $300-$400 range. If I didnt need one now... today... I would have waited another 4-6 months, as Ill bet the 17" monitors will drop to $200. Anyway, It was for my wife, so hopefully the 18"-19" LCD will come way down before I have to replace my 19" CRT

I received mine today, beating their delivery estimate by several days! :D

amao, if the same is true for you, you should be able to beat the rebate deadline of September 15th!

I got one from Fry's about five months ago and haven't had a single issue or problem. I haven't done a thing to it since I plugged it in in April.
