Am I the only one who hates rap?

I can't stand rap. I mean, these guys talk about the same things over and over, no one is creative. Loop another beat and get rich and be the next big thing. Talk about crack, hypersexuality, shooting someone, "running they jewels" and stupid crap and your instantly rich.

Mainstream rap. Yes, it sucks for the most part, but don't confuse that with Rap/Hip Hop overall.

Some of the older stuff was cool and I think K-OS and some more political stuff is good and even if you argue against their lifestyle like Easy and Tupac and BIG they still died from what they said was their "life" (AIDS and getting shot).

I heard that guy who talks funny, 50 cent, got shot nine times. The way "gangsters" hold their guns sideways, no wonder. Either that or he had his "homie" shoot him to make himself look big or something. How could you not hit him in the forehead or chest with nine bullets.

They don't use real guns dude, they use cheap pieces of crap. You can't expect any accuracy out of the weapons that they use. Now, if they found a stash of Colt 1911's instead of their stupid little $10 9mm's - there would be a huge problem.

Although I must agree that the repetitive lyrics can be annoying, I love the beats and just overall style of it.

I don't like either... But when I am stopped at a light, and some greasy punk in a ghetto honda forces me to listen to his sh!t, its usually not country I am forced to listen to...

even though I'm a big rap fan, I can see why the issue of rap is brought up so much. It's mainstream to a point today where it's so hard not to hear it. Video games, TV shows, movies, commercials, driving on the road, etc. etc. I mean if every EA video game I played had country music in it I would be raising hell right now. It's a lot harder to avoid rap then it is country music, but some ATers do make too big a deal out of it.
