Hmm, I have a very diverse taste in music, and I do like quite a bit of music. But to say that rock music is soo much more musical or wahtever is bullsh!t, hey I have an idea, lets form a music group! Ok, what instruments should we play? Hmm...how about the guitar! YEA! Now lets add something else...I know, an electric bass! WOOHOO we are smart! Ok one more...a drumset! Alright we are set! Come on.

Those aren't reasons to hate rap... Do you also hate rock because it's all about broken hearts or politics?

I do not get rap , or the many kids who seem to love it and put losers like snoop,50cent,ect on a pedistal and worship them.I am sure most rappers laugh all the way to the bank.

hip hop is the most popular genre of music right now.

i personally like some rap. i listen mostly for its danceability and the beat. it has no content. if you get over that fact, you might enjoy it.

MazerRackham the problem with that is that you can't avoid it anymore.
It is infecting society like a virus. Who said anything about a station? Thats all you hear at the parks, or at bars or anywhere now around here.

I know TONS of bars and clubs where they don't play Rap/Hip Hop. Stop stereotyping.

Stereotyping? are you for real?
heh
next your going to play the race card or something

No you are not alone... it is bad on so many levels. Will Smith would be the only exception I can think of. The Funny things is most of the rappers except for the elite will probably be nobodies soon due to record companies ripping them off and not being able to afford their lifestyle/posse's anymore.

I agree with those that say some of the older stuff is good. While I've listened to only a little, it's like 10 000X better than the complete and utter SH!T that's being produced now! Sure, there's one or two songs that are good, but that can be said of any genra.

Overall, though, rap is the utter bottom of the music barrel.

-- Jack

Rap is art for those who lack artistic taste and talent, music for those who can?t carry a tune, poetry for those who lack basic linguistic skills... It is roughly to freedom of expression what S&M is to romance...A lot of rap is frankly pitched to what the Victorians called the criminal classes... The mission of shocking the bourgeoisie has passed from the avant-garde to the common thugs.
