I'm excited about this game. That said, I will still probably wait til it comes down in price a bit. Maybe ~$20 or so. That all depends if I'm actively playing another game at the time or not. Will absolutely be picking this up at some point though.

I'm looking forward to it. On my PC. With the 360 controller. That's how I'm rolling w/ this game.

I'm waiting. I'll get it either on release or soon after, but I'm waiting patiently. Between BF3 and work I'm just fine with it getting pushed back a tad.

PC title for me for sure, but will wait for a deal, I've given up buying brand new games these days, just not worth it.

I've decided that since the industry isn't moving forward any more, there's little point in racing to buy the new games, all the games you listed are sequels and none of them are going to add anything significant compared to their predecessors, so why rush to buy them brand new?

Not only that but nothing is going to improve in the next year or so, so when I finally buy them on the cheap it wont be as if I'm playing old games which don't hold a candle to the new stuff, all the new games in a years time will be developed for the 360 and PS3 as well, so will just be more of the same.

I'm not sure if you guys are aware... but Steam has Arkham City as released on the 22nd. Apparently the 15th date was just an Amazon guess. Kind of pissed me off :(

I beat Arkham Asylum twice, and I often don't replay single player games.

That being said, really looking forward to Arkham City; I really hope the boss battles are better this time around.

You're not alone, I just try not to think about it because I rage every time I'm reminded that console players beat it already.

It might have, I didn't hear about any more pushbacks beside the initial console/pc split. Doesn't really make me feel better either way :'(

Yeah it was pushed back a week to iron out some PC issues. Shoulda been out today :(

I disagree. Not that you couldn't play it well with a KB/mouse, but a controller is much easier to use in combat, especially the challenges (I'm assuming they are back in AC).

I finished AA on the 360, including all challenges with 3 bats (50,000+ on some, etc). Then I bought AA on Steam, because if you own it on Steam, you get 20% off AC (like getting AA for free).

I tried playing AA with the KB/mouse, but it was counter-intuitive. Things like Shift+RMB for a takedown were messy. Plugged in my 360 controller, and it's like night and day... where before I was hard pressed to go over a combo of 20, now I'm getting 60+ combos. Double tapping RT to grapple or LT to Batarang and keep combos going is much easier with a 360 controller.

Back OT, yes, I'm waiting for the game, already bought on Steam. AA was fantastic and I spent a ton of time playing it... full price for AC is no big deal for something that will give alot of entertainment.
Game was so cake with KB/M

I am curious if people think the split Console/PC release dates for this type of game is hurting the PC sales? While I am firmly a PC gamer, i have consoles and throughly enjoyed Batman AA and AC on my 360 and have heard other players comment that the controller scheme is easier than KB/M controls.

Nvidia 3D user here while better GPUs than xbox360. Unlike other games, I have hope in Batman. Batman, do not like me down please. I can wait for another month or 2, but please give me a good game with good PC experience.

Arrrrgh for the 22nd!

I'm a total PC snob, and Batman:AA was one of the best ports I've ever seen. Really impressed me.

Agreed. I just hope the delays are not because it is a mess of a port this time around.

I am looking forward to playing it but may never get the time. Right now I already have

TES 5 = 90% of my free time much less gaming time
BF3 = 5% of it
COD MW3 = 5% of it

Plus I have NFS - The Run waiting. Not sure how I'm going to fit that in, but I enjoy COD MW3 more than BF3 so I'll probably put BF3 down and make room that way

Nov 18 right? Or were anyone already finished the game several times on consoles?

Sorry to say that I picked it up on the PS3. Mainly because (even though they say it isn't), you know the controls and interface were designed for the console. I beat the main storyline. Obviously there are lots of challenge things to still do/find/figure out. I would like to see how well the graphics come out on the PC. The lack of AA on the console really did at times hurt this game, and the fact that it was also only 720p.

It was a heck of a lot of fun, but I just don't see how the controls can work on a PC unless you have a XBox controller to play it. The entire combat system is a beautiful melding of button mashing and timing, which I just don't see working on a keyboard/mouse.

From what I hear they basically kept the the combat system from AA, which was quite fluid for me on a PC. It's almost entirely mouse-based, with attacks being the left mouse button, blocking/countering being the right, and powered-up combos using a simple combo to activate when ready. Looking around is as simple as moving the mouse. Takes some practice, but comes quite naturally after a few challenge matches. :)
