11/15 if you're in North America, 11/18 in Europe.

I suspect I'll get it at some point, but not on release.

got it on the console. primarily because I played AA on console and just generally more used to controller.

it's sweet. Lots of fun. Haven't beaten it yet. But hope to this weekend.

I pre-ordered it. Everyone I know who has played it on the console really digs it.

I had some cash left over on a Newegg gift card, so I ordered one of the NVIDIA vouchers (I wanted it on Steam). If it wasn't for the gift card I would have probably held off for a bit. I've already seen sales for under $40 on Steam via greenmangaming.com and it hasn't even released yet, so I imagine getting it for ~$20-25 won't be that far off.

Pretty stoked for this one actually. May buy it on release, which I have not done for a game in years.

I'll get it for the PC when the price goes down, but I'll play it with a controller. It was awkward with the mouse/keyboard combo.

Blech to controllers, particularly the 360 controller; not sure how anyone can use that thing. Had zero issues with KB/M on the PC.

I use a Logitech controller. There's absolutely nothing about the game that requires precise aiming, and for third-person games such as this, I almost always prefer to kick back with a controller.

I don't believe Arkham City is a Steamworks game, so ordering it off GMG would not provide a Steam key unlike games like Dead Island and Deus Ex.

yeh KB/M work just fine Keith.. I normally would use the KB/M for sure.. but the controls work better the Xbox controller on these games like this.. mainly because they all have a map already in there for it.

I am not waiting for it. I don't like games based off of comic books.

It's based off a previous game.

Fair enough, I just find controllers very uncomfortable, so they are never a viable option for me.

Are you kidding, it plays beautifully with a keyboard mouse. Unless you've never played a FPS shooter game multiplayer in your life. Its not first person but it controls just like one, and a controller imposes limits on how fast you can turn/react. Sorry, batman is much better on keyboard mouse unless you just have no grasp on how to play shooters like CS/TF2/etc

I really enjoyed Arkham Asylum but I thought combat was extremely repetitive. It was still fun but not challenging at all since every enemy, even the bosses were all basically the same. Like the first one, I'll pick this up when it's cheap.

What relevance do CS/TF2 have in regards to Batman? Absolutely zero. They are NOTHING alike. AA (and AC) are not twitch shooters, are not first-person, and have almost nothing in common with them. The comparison is invalid.

On another note, as someone who picked up AA on the day of its release, and will do so with the PC version of AC, I preferred AA with the XBox controller on the PC. KB+M wasn't bad, but the controller was actually more intuitive and felt more natural for the style of play.

I'm currently halfway through AA; trying to finish it before AC comes out. It's a fun game, and I love how they went into the trouble of fleshing out every character with interview tapes, background info, etc.

It plays extremely well with KB/mouse. Controls are very snappy and responsive (unlike other console ports like the assassins creed series...)

I'll pick up a cheap PC key soon, UC3 and Dark Souls in the meantime,

I disagree. Not that you couldn't play it well with a KB/mouse, but a controller is much easier to use in combat, especially the challenges (I'm assuming they are back in AC).

I finished AA on the 360, including all challenges with 3 bats (50,000+ on some, etc). Then I bought AA on Steam, because if you own it on Steam, you get 20% off AC (like getting AA for free).

I tried playing AA with the KB/mouse, but it was counter-intuitive. Things like Shift+RMB for a takedown were messy. Plugged in my 360 controller, and it's like night and day... where before I was hard pressed to go over a combo of 20, now I'm getting 60+ combos. Double tapping RT to grapple or LT to Batarang and keep combos going is much easier with a 360 controller.

Back OT, yes, I'm waiting for the game, already bought on Steam. AA was fantastic and I spent a ton of time playing it... full price for AC is no big deal for something that will give alot of entertainment.

I was planning on playing it on the console, but I went and bit the bullet for a new PC build this weekend and when I picked up my 2nd Superclocked 560GTX (already have one in my aging rig) for SLI it came w/ it so I'm going to wait and go PC.
