I'm 32 BTW. I'm very happy to see others older than me are still gaming and having a good time doing it! Never quit.

We older guys here are/were pioneers of gaming, something to be proud of :) .

I can remember seeing/playing the Sinclair ZX 81 my friend had in very early 80s,black and white ,no sound and only 1K of ram,all started from there http://www.zx81museum.net/ .

I'll be 30 next year, and I'm going to a LAN this weekend where I have a very solid chance of being the youngest person there. Many of the people in my gaming group are in their 40s or older. Age ain't nothin' but a number (after they turn 18 anyway).

Mid 60's here, just finished Bad Company 2, and I know one 75 year old member still gaming. My refleses are not so good, so I pretty much play single player.

I'm 32. My need for gaming is slowing down steadily; I buy 2-3 games per decade I'd say. Currently I have completed Batman: AC and am playing the challenge levels from time to time, and I play a bit of SC2. I go back to some of my old favourites to play (the old Tomb Raider games, 1-4, Half-Life 2 plus EPs, KotOR 1/2, UFO: Enemy Unknown, the Quake series, AvP2, Batman: Arkham Asylum).

Casual gaming is a great way to unwind IMO. I doubt I'll ever let go of it completely. If I'm not really busy I'll get a few hours per week in. My current hobby is playing the Outbreak map on SC2 and shaving down the completion times.

Smells like Bengay and moth balls in here... :sneaky:

I kid, I kid. I'm only 28

I'm 27 and already feel old but this thread is making me feel a little better. Thanks guys!

I've met quite a few older guys (50s/60s etc) who like to game and a lot just started up recently. Don't think there's an age limit on games, I bet a lot just haven't ever really tried it or played on a decent PC.

Well, I will be 46 in October. But the real question you want to be asking yourself is how long have you been playing games?

I played Zork on the PC back when it was the "In thing". I played 'Adventure' on the Atari. I remember when computers didn't have hard drives but only had 5 and a half inch floppies (and still have a bunch of them stored somewhere). I remember the Comador 64. I remember trying to struggle with Windows 3.1 and DOS based applications.

Im 40 (about to turn 41) and have been gaming since around 1977. My first video game was Pong on the Atari 2600 and my first PC was a Commodore 64. I remember playing Dig Dug on that old thing. :)

I'm 55, started gaming and building systems for that in 1995. I like to play an hour or so a night to help me relax from a long day. When is the next Steam sale? Plan to keep on playing until I can no longer breath or until I get married for the 4th time.

You need to read "Ready Player One" by Ernest Cline if you haven't already.

I'm 32, been gaming since I was 5 (Atari/C64, followed shortly by NES), and I hope never to stop...

I am 25 but I feel like I will be 30 any day now and 40 the day after.
once I hit 23 the years just seemed to fly by so fast.
But I am still trapped in the 90s.
Watching back to the future will make you younger?

I was playing games that came on cassette tapes and 8" disks. That was 6th grade.

Please don't remind us...

:(

I had my 30th birth day only two weeks ago. I tried to pretend that it didn't affect me at all (as convincingly as I could and it seemed to work for a few days). It does... it does. I still like video games though. I'm not sure how long I'll care to play them though.

as a 48 year old...I find this quite funny. Going to be 50 in a couple, it won't bug me a bit. And yes, I still game occasionally, but I find it harder and harder to find something that really interests me. Most of what's out there are tiresome retreads of stuff done many years ago, and a few years ago.
