Don't worry, you are still old. :'(

Please don't remind us...

:(

I had my 30th birth day only two weeks ago. I tried to pretend that it didn't affect me at all (as convincingly as I could and it seemed to work for a few days). It does... it does. I still like video games though. I'm not sure how long I'll care to play them though.

I was going like 160-43 in a bf3 metro server and everyone was screaming "this kid has no life, and he's obviously cheating." "What are you some 14 year old virgin with no life?" etc. Didn't have the heart to tell all those kids they were getting destroyed by a 28 year old.

Gaming isn't as taboo as it once was. It's good to see all the older gamers chiming in.

pretty much this. theres very little on TV that i will sit down to watch. Id much rather fire up a game (even a board game) than sit and veg on the couch.

It kinda work out for me since my wife likes to watch shows. she watches tv, i game. :D

32 btw

I'm in my 30s as well and I'll probably be gaming for a long long time yet to come. The thing about gaming is that even the simplest game engages your brain to some degree while TV has about zero engagement for the most part. I look at it as a better mental health alternative ;).

I'm getting there. I'm only 26 but I don't think I'll ever stop gaming.

One thing that's funny to think about, how old folks homes will look when I hit 80 or so. Gone will be the days of pool and shuffleboard and puzzles. We will have rooms set up for lan or xbox 847380's set up to play together. Although by then, VR will be a thing and we will just sit in chairs controlling characters like surrogates.

QFT! I'd much rather play a video game than watch TV. Even the dullest of video games requires some sort of hand eye coordination, which is much more productive and rewarding than staring at over privileged whiny morons on some reality TV show.

I'm 32 BTW. I'm very happy to see others older than me are still gaming and having a good time doing it! Never quit.
