I love how we work here. Next time someone in this forum has their house broken into they'll mention something here first then call the police.
Isla, if you start producing sap anytime soon or sprouting pine needles, I'd be concerned.

Isla,

Your story is very similar to that of a family I used to know. The only difference is that the wife left the glass on the counter, and it was clear bug poison, not christmas tree preservative. It took several years for the multiple cancer tumors to slowly eat it's way through the husband, his wife and daughter watching him slowly die. They even lived in florida.

After watching what that family went through, I never drink any liquid that I didn't freshly pour myself (or wasn't poured expressly for my consumption). You should be counting your blessings!

Good to here that your OK Isla........ I think your husband is getting off too lightly if he's only getting you knee high boots.......... How about an entire spring wardrobe????

Cheers,

Glad to hear you're going to be OK Isla :)

(Although I don't like the mister's chances. I think I would have slept with one eye open last night.)

About the knee-high boot thing, oh God never mind Fathom just went to lunch at the thought of it.

PS, I would say a dozen roses, a nice bottle of wine, draw you a nice bubble bath and a lot of kissing........up should start to set things straight. ;)

Hope you're feeling ok today.

[EDIT] Leaving it laying around like that I'd say he's a very lucky man that one of the kids didn't drink it.

I'm fine adul, thanks. :) Just got back from a stroll to the park with the little one, life is good.

I AM a little concerned about my mate's potential subconscious motivations, but other than that, I am ok.

I know I can be a PITA, but i'm not that bad....

;)

BTW, you guys crack me up! Thanks for the laughs, I needed them last night while I was wondering just what wood fiber softeners would do to my insides... :disgust:

wood fiber softeners, i figure any fiber supplements you take, wouldnt have been effective, totally negate the regularity you wanted from the fiber supplements

Oh btw my boss has set fire to my car, thrown my coat on it, printed a 6 ft square pink slip, and i am writing this while dragging the computer by the keyboard, network cord about to sna . . .

I wouldn't worry so much about

<< what wood fiber softeners would do to my insides >>

if I were you. I'd worry more about what hanging around with us perverts and degnerates is doing to your mind. :p ;)

Isla:

Glad to hear your ok.

Has Mr. Isla increased the policy limit on your life insurance policy lately? ;)

I had a similar situation, except the "water" that I drank was bleach. I guess my internal organs are all white now. Should make for an interesting autopsy.

Isla .. glad to know you are doing well ... I was concerned ... as far as I/m concerned you shouldn't have to tell Mr. Isla what would make up for it. He should be busting his butt doing stuff for you to make up for the worry he caused not to mention the possible harm it could have caused you ... luckily it didnt turn out to be poisonous ...but he didn't know that.

Bober,

I believe that damage is irreversable. ;)

Frenchie

Good grief! Well, at least there was no bacteria in the 'water' you drank... What is with these people leaving poison out for 'loved' ones to drink? Maybe I should call the insurance company to check on any recent changes... :Q ;)

sweetrobin

Thanks, but he doesn't think it was any big deal. He thinks I am the dumb one for having thought it was my water glass! I have just cut my budget for his Christmas present in half. ;)

I'd do the "swivel my neck from side to side routine" and say "No he didn't!" but I'm not that flexible ;)

Ouch, you almost meet your demise while I am away, glad you are fine Isla, but if you want to pop your husband on the doorstep I will send the Salvation Army (none of the good AT people wanted them) around after they have picked up my X Inlaws !! ;)
