Am I expecting too much from my photo color printer?

Unless you are taking nudie pics you might as well have some place like walmart develop them for a 26 cents. While the paper is cheap at 13.3 cents a sheet, the ink cost is insane. You can get two or more prints develop for what it costs to print one.

I had a problem like this before.

I think it could be a print driver issue. When I used to print using Visioneer's scanner print drivers and Microsoft's Photodraw print drivers the picture would come out excellent. However, when I used Photoshop to print out pics, the pictures came out pixellated no matter what setting or resolution I used.

Try a different program to print your pics out with. Maybe it might work.
