It's probably been across this board before, but this is a hot deal to help others for just a moment of your time a day. I did a search, but didn't find it. I go here and click on every tab each day, and have been doing it since my freshman year in college (with a few missed days like anyone). That's 6 years...

I don't understand how sites like this work. How could it possibly be of value to anyone that I visit their website and click a button? Does the site install spyware on my computer or something like that?

Sign up for their email and they will send you a daily (Mon-Fri only) or a Sat-Sun reminder to click for the Hungersite. Or you can Op out of the reminder and just get the Newsletter. You can sign up here at the Hunger Site email signup, or click on the link to the right on the home page that says "give more food". By doing so you give two extra cups of food for the day and they give you a coupon for a free Dove Pin for signing up if you are new to the Hunger site. Remember their are six tabs to click on for various, needly organizations. So click on the respective tabs because each site has it's own donation, ie. the Breast Cancer site gives mammograms to needy women.

Exactly - if you notice, some days there will be fewer advertisers and so less total donation. Each advertiser donates the same amount, so 8 advertisements on the clicked page will be more donation then 4 advertisers on the clicked page.

"The staple food is paid for by The Hunger Site sponsors and distributed by America's Second Harvest and Mercy Corps...
All of the money collected from our sponsors for their banner advertisements -- 100% of sponsor banner advertising -- goes to our nonprofit beneficiary organizations. Funds are split between the two beneficiaries with 70% going to fight hunger internationally. The remaining 30% goes to support hunger relief efforts in the United States."

I read the referenced articles, then looked at the Hunger site web. I certainly want it to be legit as I used to be religious about clicking every day. So the question is, how much of their income comes from "their banner advertisements" and how much is sourced elsewhere?
