Vocational school is not a bad idea, but they get a bad rap, but I know peopel who went there and they got what they went there for. If you are interested in Computers and porgramming, a good vocational school will give some (but little) useful experience. Unfortunately, the best you could do with high school degree is probably some kind of tech support or low level IT work . Vocational school is basiaclly where learn a trade (like being a mechanic).
My advice: just hold out, suck it up, go to college. Meanwhile, do some worth while things that spark your interests. I knwo some community colleges let anyone in high school take classes, so maybe you could take classes that interest you. Also, trust me, you think you can teach this stuff to your self easier (and maybe you could), but having the persistence to do it your self is a whole different story.
