I have enough money, and I've been ready to make my next upgrade, and I'm going to go with the AMD X2 4400+. I do, however, have a 6800GT AGP that I wont be parting with.

My Question is, which nforce3 motherboard (or VIA?) overclocks decently, is stable but will also fit my Zalman 7700alcu heatsink (that rules out the neo-2 platinum...I've also had two MSI boards previously and both went bad on me, so no MSI). The only other requirements is that it needs to run my 4x512MB sticks at DDR400 and have a firewire port.

So far I'm looking at:

Gigabyte Ultra-939

Also keep in mind I won't be doing heavy overclocking, and I know that having 4 dimms will limit me anyways...just want to push a little extra ;)

Thanks!

If you're going for AGP, I love my ASUS A8V Deluxe...it's a sweet board that does everything I ask it too.

I heard the gigabye NF3 board wasn't too good. MSI...yeah, they're great boards if you're willing to do a lot of troubleshooting in the beginning. I'd recommend the ASUS A8V Deluxe like the guy above said.

Hey thanks guys....I looked at the Asus mobo and it meets everything I want. Not to mention I love passive northbridge heatsink because I have a really quiet computer and would like to keep it that way. I'll probably be ordering that one.
