Saw this a couple of days ago. Poor guy made a good run for it, but it just wasn't enough.

I'm fairly certain his suffering was momentary, at best. From the adrenaline of fight or flight to the fact that he was probably knocked senseless when 10 tons of steel dropped on top of him, I'm sure he didn't feel much.

I agree. Running away seems like the most rational thing to do without a lot of time to really think about the options. It's high risk, but high reward. You definitely survive if you clear the box.

Very sad.
 
I saw this video on reddit a few days ago. I have no doubt he didn't suffer. He was dead pretty much instantly as that container crushed him completely flat.
 
All I could say during the end of that clip was "oh man, oh man...OH MAN!" Daaaaamn. That has to suck. Even worse to be the fork lift driver that caused it. How do you deal with that?
 
well that is not going to buff right out

looks like he would have made it if he stayed in the cab, but its one of those split second decisions were most would GTFO

I wonder how many of these people mocking the lack of safety in China are the same ones for 'small government' gutting worker rights and safety in the US?

The National Labor Relations Board that is resoinsible for all complaints of violations of tens of millions of workers' rights is down to one of five members and that one expires soon.

Republicans have blocked all appointments and are blocking Obama's appointmet of five new members, even though it's three Democrars and two Republicans. No rights soon.

I guess you deal with it by living, which isn't really an option for the truck driver.
