Almost called in sick today

After thinking about it for a little while, I figured 1/2 the workers in the US would be calling in with all kinds of excuses.

Someone has to go to work and pay their taxes to support people on welfare. So I decided to pick up the slack.

Crawl your butt back in the bed, and sleep comfortably knowing someone got up the day after the super bowl and went to work.

Fortunately I remembered I have to sub for someone this Saturday, so I get today off. Just remembered at 11:30pm last night....I was hours away from getting up and going to work! 😀
 
Actually, I thought about calling in, too. I am legitimately sick, but drank in excess last night...whooooooo......I feel like shit today!

What holiday would you give up to get the day after the Super Bowl off.
The consensus was MLK day because of the spacing of other holidays.

My seed stockpile is a little low from last years garden. I need to double my seed stockpile between now and April. My wife and I have plans on building a backyard chicken coop over the next month.

Tensions in Iran are going to cause the US government to collapse and send the US into anarchy? Sorry, Iran isn't that large and powerful, and they've already pissed off half the world. The worst thing they can do is cause gas prices to rise.

Or are you proposing that Iran, who doesn't possess nuclear weapons let alone a rocket that could make it's way around the world, whose population is 74 million, has no military presences outside their own country, under UN sanctions, and has regional enemies that would love to wipe them off the planet is going to invade the United States?
