Because the money is not flowing through them...it's flowing through a legit escrow(I think) service. Would have to check the exact terms, but the company is not the same as the one dictating allofmp3.com

Meh. If I like an artist I'll pay for a concert.
People use that as their excuse, then pay for 5 concerts while they download and keep 100 CDs from 50 artists.

Well...
5 concerts, at let's say a bargain price of $25 each.
And one $20 T-shirt
$145

100 CDs at say $14 each. $1400. How much does the artist get from that? Need at least 10.36 cents per disc to make that $145. How much do the artists actually get from CDs? Anyone know any actual numbers on this?

I think that varies based on what is negotiated. Different percentages for ticket sales, random stuff, and cds.

I suspect that this is temporary, they makes oogles of money... so I don't see this staying down for too much longer.

LoL! $25 a concert? Now you're dreaming!

The last show I saw ran me $160/ticket. I think that's the most I've ever paid but I've definitely paid more than $100 (face value) on a few occasions.

I think seeing U2 twice (at maybe $130 per ticket (*2 for the gf)) gives me the right to download their whole discography (though I bought it used anyway).

It is back up.

Ordering is disabled.

Didn't notice. But at least they are slowing getting the site back up instead of nothing like this weekend is a good sign.

So no one has had to endure the "joys" of "The Pin Code" yet I take it?

Just figure it out. :p It's not that hard.

Well apparently it is.
AOMP3 wants a 12 digit pin, Chronopay gives you an 8 digit pin.

If you know something I dont I'd appreciate some help.

Actually, I think I agree with you. I think bootlegs should be legal as well. Concert tickets are way out of hand now, too. There are very few bands I'd be willing to pay to see in a major venue because most are not worth (to me, anyway) the cot of the tickets, service fees, etc. $25/ticket...maybe even $35-40 if the seats are decent. But when Ticketmaster tacks on their exhorbitant fees, too...it just doesn't make sense.

If it's coming back up, then reports to the contrary could very well be RIAA sponsored FUD. Hopefully it'll be back up and fully operational shortly.

Wow you guys are retarded. You are buying illegal music knowingly. Why the hell not just download it for free? It's illegal both ways, but one case you save money and don't help stupid ass pirates.
