This isn't true at all. While Christian nations were in the dark ages, Islamic nations were at their peak. There's a reason the number system we use today is called "arabic numerals". Islamic countries were leading the world in terms of scientific development.

Wow, nice quote-mining. LemonLoser has tought you well, grasshopper.
The Islamic states began in the dark ages, and stayed that way. Much of their accomplishments were stolen from the people they conquered. Jews cleansed from Medina, christians converted into dhimmi status, 50+ million hindus wiped out in what is now india between the 11-14th century (one muslim conqueror demanded 100,000 heads a day).
much of today's Islamic population are descedents of those forcibly converted.
anyways, clinging to the golden age to justify islamic backwardness in the 21st century is just as retarded as defending homicidal muslims by cherry-picking quotes from the old testament.
ISLAM was inspired by christianity and jews, except the prophets claimed the jews/christians "distorted" the word of god at some point, but this of course was proven false when the dead sea scrolls were recovered (written thousands of years before islam) - which almost matched word for word the modern old testament.

islam has been proved has a truly bogus religion because it's scripture is predicated on the argument that christians and jews distorted the true bible at some point.
as stated before, this has been demolished because:
a) jews and christians hated each other, thus they could not conspire together
b) the original manuscripts of the bible have been discovered, and they almost 100% match today's modern old testament
c) jews and christians who converted into islam never spoke of any event where the texts were rewritten.
and like i said before, christianity had an
enlightenment in the 18th century, islam hasn't. christians continue to be persecuted and killed at an institutionalized level in muslim and communist countries, where islam is king in 50+ nations and continues to wage imperial wars throughout the world.
christians are not flying planes into buildings, or murdering their daughters, or oppressing minorities, etc...
I cherry-pick passages not to defend Muslims, but to show the hypocrisy of Christians, and I think a lot of others do too. I am against most of the world's organized religions.
the old testament was written thousands of years before the Quran.
It was written in a time where there were NO laws and no rules of life. Humans could kill their wifes, murder their children, do as they please without punishment.
the bible essentially provided list of rules that told people how to behave in concert with god.
early christians were essentially the first progressives/ACLU lovers in history compared to everyone else.
yeah, of course some of the allegorical passages of the bible could be interpretated as hate speech, but you must appreciate the historical context.
the quran, on the other hand, was written 2,000+ years before the original books of the old testament.
you cannot compare the two as one was written in a time of no laws and rules, whereas the other was written in a time where civilization had already been established and people understood right from wrong.
as far as organized religion goes, i never understood this fear of christianity and die-hard love for islam.
christianity is a progressive religion predicated on mostly charity and peace, at least today. much of today's modern charities use the bible and christianity as an outreach tool. they assist those persecuted in communisty north korea, china, and vietnam, they help christians who are being persecuted in the arab and muslim world, etc...
this is a popular movement that exists to help christians and other religion minorities:

i am NOT a christian or a muslim. im not really into religion or spirutual bullshit, but i call a spade a spade.
christians aren't cutting people's heads off or murdering those who criticize them.
