take that all you japcrap fanboys, go buy a quality american vehicle

1) If you think American vehicles are "quality" you're delusional even by ATOT troll standards.
2) Real men don't buy automatic transmissions.

I could be wrong here, but don't top fuel drag racers all have automatics? Just due to the fact they can't shift the car fast enough manually when accelerating that fast. I think those fellas might have something to say about your "real men" comment lol.

you could never manage that much power with a manual tranny.

but in a car with 2-300 HP or less obviously, it is manageable and MUCH fun.

Or Hondas that are built in Ohio.

That said, cars built before 1990 didn't have to have this interlock. It's not as though it's a huge issue. I've always felt that the brake/park/ignition interlocks were dumb ideas anyway. There are times when I want to be able to put my automatic into neutral without having to go get my keys and turn the ignition on and depress the brake. One of these days I'll have to disable that solenoid.

The system is intended to prevent removal of the ignition key unless the shift lever is in the park position. The company says it may not work properly.

The recall includes some 1999 to 2002 Honda Accord models and all 1997 to 2001 Prelude models. Some 1999 and 2000 Acura TL sedans are also included in the recall.

The company said 11 incidents related to the defect have resulted in minor property damage, but no injuries have been reported.

Honda said it will repair the defect free of charge at authorized dealers when parts become available.

Yeah, faulty can-take-out-the-key-when-car-is-in-drive mechanism!!! I'm gonna go buy one of those quality dodge or ford vehicles where the only problem is the wheels falling off!

Hey now not all domestics are bad, just cause this dink wants to start stuff 🙂

my Dodge has 110k on it of problem free mileage, so any car domestic or japanese is capable of problem free operation, but it doesn't pertain to every model, and it also has something to do with luck of the draw 😛
Oh I'm not that biased. Friend has a 99 ford f250 powerstroke with over 300k miles.

I take it you're in the LSA program, eh? I guess the in-state quota always had set the bar low for admissions.

There are exactly ZERO cases of properly inflated and non-overloaded Firestone Wilderness AT tires blowing out spontaneously. In _ALL_ cases, the tires were either under-inflated or severely overloaded, or both.

My Honda is made in America, my last Ford was made in Canada.

Yah I think my Ford Contour was built in Mexico, and not just cause there were taco shells under the seat, jk.

I'm still pissed about that whole media circus around those tires and the Explorer. The only thing that happened was a bunch of people who couldn't be bothered to maintain their cars and who couldn't be bothered to learn how to react to a blowout (blowouts don't cause flipping, driver over-reaction causes flipping) decided that they would rather blame someone else than face their own incompetancies.

The whole thing was an excellent illustration of just how far Americans have abandoned the idea of personal responsibility. It's sad really.

yeah, I like to make fun of corporate screwups as much as the next guy, but after some show did a test where they simulated a blowout in a Ford, and it didn't roll over EVEN IF THE DRIVER TOOK HIS HANDS OFF THE WHEEL, I had to laugh at the morons trying to blame Ford because they can't drive.

quality American vehicle? Let see, then tell me:

How did Toyota jump OVER Ford <what happend to the """Quality is Job 1" slogan?> to become the 2nd largest auto maker in 2004 (From Business 2.0). Toyota made a profit of 11 BILLIONS <yup, even more profit than GM>.

How did the big 3..opps, big 2.5 now, market shares keep falling every single year?

GM recalls 98,000 trucks, vans, SUVs...and Ford recalls 980,000 trucks, vans, SUVs (from MSNBC). Must be the Japs that come in and corrupt those highly train and dedicate Union auto workers..right? <SARCASTIC>

I could go on and on but that's enough for now. Think before you type next time because you will end up look like a BIG time idiot that you are.

Edit: Oh, let not forget about the Ford Explorer tires problem and the most recently, the fire on the F150 trucks even with the ignition off. Who is making craps now? LOL

wow, it's amazing how you actually believe in the word QUALITY there. If you want any credibility, at least live in the same reality.

LOL... I' think I'd rather have a faulty keylock, then to have a Ford roll over on me while I'm driving beside it, because there was a stiff cross-wind...
