Sinistar/Sinister is kind of creative. If you wanna go with like a darker theme then how about something like "dystopia" although im not sure if your target demographic will even know what that word is.

Another thing to think of, if you're trying to make $200 jeans and sell them at $80, you might end up in the middle of nowhere since even though your jeans might be worth $200, the people that actually do pay for your clothes will see it as a cheap version of what they usually buy and shy away. While the peope that usually pay around $40-50 for jeans will find yours to still be too expensive.

Also being so small at this point, it's feasible to have such low prices while maintaining the high quality that you're going for?

We found a great manufacturer in China that does other not to be mentioned name brand jeans. You have to figure brand named jeans cost $200 because $50 goes into marketing, $100 goes to overhead at some corporate office, $15 to COGS and $35 profit.

good luck, I'll buy a pair for support, if and when you decide to make them for men....

Anyway for names, I don't like any of the italian ones. I think JS80 sounds better than half of them. Do you guys have a logo? After asking my girlfriends, I had no idea they always look at the pockets of jeans and can know what brand you wearing based on the pocket stitching.

My contributions:

Bolt, and Xen (halflife reference for us nerds)

I'd also love to have a pair of ORLY jeans with the owl stitched onto the back pocket.

ROFL......we're planning on expanding to tops, etc...ORLY might be a t-shirt idea. I'll keep that in mind.

I'm looking at people's usernames and some are pretty creative...

The top three names are good. don't like the other ones at all, especially if you get a mens line later. Stain sounds good though... or something else that's simple like Foil Denim (although that's too similar to Paper Denim).

Yea Foil seems weak...

What about Traffic or Rush Hour?

ATOT Jeans FTW!

And to think... all the "cool" kids will have no idea what it really means :)

I've personally never paid more than $30 for a pair of Jeans, so I'm not exactly your target market.

If you're looking for more $$, let me know. I can probably invest about 200k right now. I'd rather invest than spend more $ on another car. Let me know.

are yuo actualyl serious, d oyuo know ho much capital it costs to compete with levis or ralph lauren?

It only takes $500k to get the initial order in. Also, the company will not be in direct competition with Levi's or RL; the design will be more in line with premium jeans like 7, paper denim and true religion. All you need is a distribution channel (which we already have).

so you've actually got some of the logistics down? jsut need designs ad capital at this point? You got any ideas for the brand yet?

We actually have the distribution channel lined up. Retailers are always complaining about the lack of low cost current fashion jeans so we saw this as an arbitrage situation. We have the design for the jeans ready...now all we need is a label to base our signature back pocket threading on. No ad capital required...for now.

At first we were going to go with Gasoline Jeans, but apparently there's already a clothing brand named Gasoline. Here's what we have so far:

Stain
Sinister
SiniSTAR
Mina Bella
Mi Bella
Studded
Sucio
Lista
Vero
Verano
Carrino
Natural
Atrativo
Estrella
Tela Bella
Belleza
Dona Bella

Natural jeans...funny but it works

If your jeans are made for females, a portion of the people buying them are going to be "emo" males.

If you are looking to compete with expensive pants, then you need a name that will appeal to the kids who want those pants. Ghetto kids. "UrbanWares" strikes me as a good name..

yea...I know...but I KNOW some of the people here are repressed creative artists. It's not like I'm asking for the actual design...just ideas for the label.
