All large companies run on Excel

Yeah...that whole read-only aspect of reports always gets those accountants when they want to get "creative"

I work for a Fortune 500 company and we still use Excel for our Financial Consolidations as well.

There are worse business applications out there than Excel to use for your daily business needs. Lotus Notes and Remedy come to mind... with Remedy being the worst of the lot. I swear that it takes longer to enter an upgrade request into that system than it takes to actually complete the upgrade!
