BS in Electrical Engineering
Half of a MS in Electrical
Half of a MS in Industrial
Now starting a MS in project management.

I couldn't stay motivated to finish my masters in either of those engineering fields while working full time, so im working toward the PM masters online (with penn state still)

Passed the FE, got one year down and 3 or 4 to go until i can get my PE

Is it total years after FE, or just total years?

i think it's total years experience, but it probably varies from state to state

BS and MS in Electrical Engineering with concentration in computers (UMD did not have a Computer Engineering degree when I went there)
MS in Computer Science obtained during my present job.

Working as a software developer now -- went to this track because during the end of the .Net boom getting a job as a programmer was easier than getting a job as an electrical engineer. I'm happy in my career.

materials - drexel '10 with a BS/MS

for all you civvies out there... just remember:

aerospace engineers build weapons. civil engineers build targets 😉 😛

5th year ( i graduate in December) MechEng at Michigan Tech. Univ. go Huskies!! i know there are some more huskies around here too.

Now an unemployed apprentice. Better get some internships/co-ops or you're as effed as me.

Go west young man.

The civil engineering firms I deal with (BC & Alberta) have been crying for people for the last few years.

i'm a computer engineer but i'm not sure that really counts...i just fiddle with 1s and 0s all day long

I'm a software engineer and my degree is a B.S. in Computer Engineering. I'm not sure that counts as a traditional "engineer" such as Civil, Mech., etc.

I'm in school studying for mechanical engineering which i think is the best of them all 🙂

Oh and I'm at Purdue by the way, go boilermakers!

So all you engineers...tell everyone where you are going/went to school and where you work, I'm always interested to hear what my fellow engineers are up to these days lol

In other words you're not an engineer, you're a student.

Also, what kind of engineer qualifies as an engineer?

Materials engineer?
civil engineer?
mechanical engineer?
electrical engineer?
network engineer?
sanitation engineer?
train engineer?

I graduated from Michigan Tech this past May with a BS in Computer Engineering. I work as a software engineer for a major defense contractor.

same boat as me, I mean Microsoft says I'm an Engineer in certifications, and my job title has Engineer in it... do those count?
