In reference to the bidding thread found here:

rule # 3 says:
"A team or mini-team must select a representative who will submit the bids on behalf of the members of his/her team.
The representatives of the team or mini-teams will be the only individuals that will post their current team's bid total to the bidding thread."
If someone else from TA SETI Cavalry wants this honor, I will vote for them.
If not, I will be more than happy to do it.

Attention SETI Cavalry:

I see these WUs would make a big difference to The Federation or TA Cube.
(This is a blatant "glove slap in the face challenge" to these, soon to be proven inferior, mini teams.)
We must not let them get their piggy little hands on these highly prized WUs. 😀

TA SETI Cavalry is way down in 95th place in the team SETI stats, as most Cavalry members started with and still have their own personal SETI accounts and joined as a team to help with RC5.

I say we join again as a team and make sure these WUs get credited to the best mini team of all.
( In case the trolls can't figure it out...... TA SETI Cavalry )

Once upon a time.........long, long ago..............in a Distributed Computing Project now long forgotten, a call was sent out for help for members of other Distributed Computing Projects to come to the aid of the first mentioned project.
There was an urgent need to do more work in this project in order to hold off the vicious advances of another Team.
The Seti TeAm lessened their powers devoted to looking for signs of life and took up the call.
Some opted to consolidate their efforts under one e-mail address as stats in this project were meaningless to a few on an individual basis.
These efforts were then to be repaid <which has happened...ten fold 🙂......thankyou all> when the project was completed <this hasn't happened.........but other things caused it's great downfall here>.
This e-mail address was given the name Seti Cavalry <as a sign of comming to the rescue> and people would submit their work as one.
This address has since shown up in lots of various project, including Seti itself.
So I believe Curt's thought is to once again band together and put up some $ to help Dave and hopefully up the ante for the ghz offered to do distributed work and maybe put it under the Seti Cavalry e-mail in whatever project ...........as far as I'm concerened anyway........... <we are so humble😱>.

LETS DO SOME DAMAGE😀
 
Can people who were not part of the cavalry add to this pot?

I was part of it, and I am looking for something I can throw in the pot, but I wanted to ask this first - as the cavalry was a loose rag tag bunch, I think we should open the doors to young and old alike here. What do the rest of you say?

I'd say since Poopaskoopa added his scratch to the pot for the Seti Cavalry and him not being a member, I'd say the doors are open to anyone. 🙂

Am I assuming correctly that if the Cavalry wins the power will be used for Seti and the WU's generated go to the Seti Cavalry account?

If that is the case:
I have $20 in my paypal acct. right now that I will throw in to the Seti Cavalry pot.

C'mon y'all, we can't let TA Cube have this. They're right behind me(I've got 11562, Cube has 10791 as of this morning), and I'd rather someone else get my WUs😉. I mean, I know they're gonna pass me eventually, but I don't want to speed up the process with my own CPU! 😀 So, if there're people out there who have some money to chip in, but not quite enough to overtake the current highest bid, I invite all of you to chip in to this group bid.
