I was watching on the news that if shes doesn't pursue a civil suit after teh criminal one, she will have to pay back all the money she recieved from that one group (compensation for being a victim)? It was something like 20k dollars that she recieved for being a victim, shes probaby spent it all already, so in order to not have to pay back the 20k, shes has to pursue a civil suit.

Still. We should not assume guilt or innocence before any trial. However my .02 tells me that she did consent to normal sex and then she told him no when he decided to go the backdoor route. If that is the way that it happened then "no" always means "no" and he should be held accountable. But I believe her lawyers think that being portrayed as a slut would mitigate her refusal. At this point settling out of court in civil suit makes the whole thing fade away (from the public's mind).

not really, murder is a pretty easy crime to define. someone killed someone. nicole simpson was dead not of her own hand. it wasn't like they were comitting an act that would be legal if she has been willing.

rape is much harder to define, like it or not. evidence shows that not EVERYTHING that happened in that room was against her will. so how can she convince us that the penetration was against her will and yet everything that led up to the actual penetration was NOT against her will.
