You know that for a fact? There is 0 possibility that she was naive enough to think that a rich NBA star would be held to the same standard of justice as the rest of us? I have no idea what happened between Kobe Bryant and that women but I don't pretend to have enough information to make an informed decision one way or another.

I doubt Kobe's image would have been ruined had she not yelled "Rape". If it had come out that he just cheated on his wife, with a consenting person, people probably wouldn't have really cared. It's the fact that the girl claims she was raped that mostly ruined his image.

You do know that Kobe is responsible for his own actions right? We do Not know the facts except for the fact that he cheated on his wife. On a public scale that hurt his squeaky clean image...
jordan, magic and co. might have cheated on their wives and gotten away with it on a public scale, but that does not mean kobe did not ruin his own image by doing the same thing.

Yeah(although I didn't know that about Bird), and I think less of them for that. But that's not saying much, as I don't exactly worship them nor hold these atheletes to a higher standard, since being athletic doesn't make one the moral compass of anything.
