I hope she doesn't win any. It just means that if you have sex with someone, claim rape, and sue you'll get some type of money. Bad precedence

She may get the money, but she is going to have to spend most of it on creating a new identity for her self. Otherwise she will be hounded and harassed wherver she goes.

You know that for a fact? There is 0 possibility that she was naive enough to think that a rich NBA star would be held to the same standard of justice as the rest of us? I have no idea what happened between Kobe Bryant and that women but I don't pretend to have enough information to make an informed decision one way or another.
You do know he joined the ranks of Magic, Bird, Jordan, Dr. J and so many other NBA greats by doing so, right?

I doubt Kobe's image would have been ruined had she not yelled "Rape". If it had come out that he just cheated on his wife, with a consenting person, people probably wouldn't have really cared. It's the fact that the girl claims she was raped that mostly ruined his image.

Seeing as in civil you only need to prove that it is probable, not beyond a shadow of a doubt as in criminal, she's going to be getting some serious money...
In the civil lawsuit, the woman who is now 20, claims that when ?she was bent over the chair and forced by defendant Bryant to remain in that position, defendant Bryant sexually assaulted and raped plaintiff, by unlawfully and knowingly inflicting sexual intrusion and penetration of her vagina against her will and without her consent.?

I never said she did'nt deserve it. I'm just saying if she wins a civil suit she won't have the opportunity to enjoy a good chunk of the money.
You do know that Kobe is responsible for his own actions right? We do Not know the facts except for the fact that he cheated on his wife. On a public scale that hurt his squeaky clean image...
jordan, magic and co. might have cheated on their wives and gotten away with it on a public scale, but that does not mean kobe did not ruin his own image by doing the same thing.
Yeah(although I didn't know that about Bird), and I think less of them for that. But that's not saying much, as I don't exactly worship them nor hold these atheletes to a higher standard, since being athletic doesn't make one the moral compass of anything.
