update: It's up on Xbox Live now (and Steam). Up on PSN later today.

Despite Hudson's declaration that the game was over in the movie Aliens, the game is just getting started for Sega's upcoming Aliens Vs Predator title. Sega has announced that a multiplayer demo will be made available tomorrow for the PC, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3.

The multiplayer map will star all three factions (Aliens, Predators, and Colonial Marines) in a three-way Deathmatch battle inside an ore refinery on far off planet called Freya. The maps features lots of dark hallways that alternate between cold metallic surfaces and the wet slimey Alien resin and plenty of corners to hide in.

The demos Deathmatch is all about who can get the most kills in the match's time limit or who can hit the target score before the time limit is up.

it sucks. the level that's in the demo is horrible. up-close combat is a joke. i had high expectations for this game=/

If you have liked the original Aliens vs. Predator, and part 2 both on PC, you will love this game (as I did, and do). I like it, it feels just like the old, but with up to date graphics. The only complaint I have, I hate playing deathmatch and wish it was team deathmatch. Other then that, the game ROCKS! As for the complaint about the level,.. its perfect, just like the original... dark, dank, and very gigerish.

I played them a lot. I guess you could say the game mechanics were different, esp from games today. I'll see how much they've changed, hopefully by tomorrow evening.

I feel like I played this game on the PC like ten years ago.

Yeah...I even remember playing them in 3d with shutter glasses back in the day when they worked with CRTs...was really badass that way, but the increased FOV of the alien combined with the 3d was total headache inducing.

Can't really render an opinion on the game other than the matchmaking sucks. Takes forever to find a game and then when it does finally group me with 7 other people the damn connection drops and I have to start all over again. Just happened to me three times in a row so I never actually got a round in.

While the map in the demo isn't good, I think the core mechanics of the game are solid. My only complaint is that the predators are a little too slow and seem to be pretty underpowered in deathmatch. The humans have enough firepower to take down anybody with well placed shots, and the alien seems fine if you get the hang of running on walls and such. The predator in comparison just seems so out of place in how ineffective it is.

its probably a balancing issue.

I mean the predator should kill everyone with ease. Arnie had to work his ass off to take care of one predator. and the human in the game is some lowly marine.

but yeah I did see what you're saying.
