Did the guy just beat up an alien with the butt of his shotgun? And wasn't alien blood supposed to be deadly, how is he just walking over it without getting damage?
I might be wrong, I'm not an expert of the Aliens universe, but what I do remember of it (at least I think it's correct information) is that Xenomorphs' blood is a very corrosive hydrosulphuric acid. It can literally corrode/eat through metallic surfaces, as shown in Alien Resurrection when two Xenomorphs escape by killing another Alien so that his acid would eat through the floor of the cell they were in (and that's just one example of many throughout the series).
It should cause real lethal damage on human tissue, surely, but it depends on what part(s) of the body it affects. It might have been something that the developers overlooked. But let's remember one thing, Aliens Colonial Marines is not a simulation of the Aliens' universe that is supposed to turn the pseudo-science into game-play mechanics, it's an action game and such details as the Aliens' blood/acid not affecting the player directly or significantly should be taken with a grain of salt, in my opinion.
Being a huge Aliens franchise geek I am actually excited to see this. There hasn't been a decent Aliens game since the old AVP2.
I love the franchise, but Aside from the Aliens vs Predator 2 PC game from Sierra I've been disappointed by every Aliens game.
