2nd week in release and only raked in $10M, dropping to #4 in box office for the week.

Glad some people are warning their friends off of this meandering morass of mediocrity that Drunken Ridley is trying to pass off as a return to Alien glory days.

I firmly enjoyed Prometheus, of course I am not a hardcore fan of the franchise so I dont get tangled up in alternate timelines and how it all fits together.
I enjoyed where Prometheus was taking the narrative, in a larger scope of how who and where, our founding fathers etc etc.
Then here comes Alien Covenant, the sequel. But It is just not. It completly flattens the direction set forth by Prometheus and makes it a show about evil AI instead of Aliens. This is not an Aliens flick. What the actual was that I just saw? Maybe Scott is prepping for a Aliens vs AI vs Predator cluster-disaster, who knows? Im done.

Still holding out on Prometheus for the director cut to fix the flaws, so guess i can wait on this one too.
