Alcohol survey(s)

The poll should really be narrowed down to those that drink a few times a week, weekend warriors and then once a month? I can't remember a time I went more than 5 days without having a drink.

I used to drink when I had money to, and when I was at that age. Now even if the booze is free, I just don't have the energy to get plastered. I feel too damn old the next day!

I probably have a couple of drinks a week or less. As far as getting drunk, I selected a few times a year because there was not a choice for special occaisions. I go to all inclusive resorts on vacation, so I drinks a bit more while there.

Usually when I drink, I drink to get drunk (or I end up getting drunk). But I also drink wine and scotch for the sheer pleasure of it.

Problem is that "never" is a valid answer to that question which does apply to people. Do I drink? Yes. How often do I get drunk? Never. Yes, it does apply.

Two glasses of wine after dinner last night, when my wife decided she wasn't really feeling her glass. I'll have a drink when we go out for dinner, and I'll get a good buzz going on the few occasions that we actually party. I've certainly tamed my drinking habits since college.

To me drunk doesn't mean buzzed though.

Probably the most I've drank in the past few years was my wedding night and even then I wasn't drunk, just buzzed.

I answered "no" to the first question and "I drink a few days a week" to the second one. Thing is, I recently stopped drinking to help myself lose weight. If it wasn't for that, I would drink a couple nights a week.

My alcohol consumption is primarily dependent on if I have a supply of grass or not.

We have a standing tradition where we have dinner at a friend's house every Thursday at 10pm. When I'm there, I'll usually have a glass of wine or a beer.

At home, we rarely have liquor stocked.

I'm in grad school so I rarely get drunk because I need to be productive in the mornings.
