Album of the year

Gibson486

I didn't get to engulf myself in music this year, but from what I have listened to and bought, Green Day's American Idiot wins for me. Runner Up, tough, but i would say Franz Ferdinand. What do you guys think?

I don't know. I don't really like much of the music that has come out recently.
May'be Muse or Radiohead. But those might have been 2003.

mos def - the new danger.

his rock tracks are better than what came out on a lot of rock albums this year (wailing guitar solo's, heavy drums and bass, lyrically better, and even screaming for those kind of rock fans). his hip hop tracks are a whole lot better than what came out this year (f*ck a chingy, f*ck a 'lean back', f*ck a 50 cent "g-g-g-g-unit", f*ck what you hear/see on the radio/mtv/surburban-rich-kids-riced-out-hyundai). mix in some nicely arranged jazz, blues and r&b tracks, an 8+ minute tribute to marvin gaye, and you have my vote for album of the year.

I'll have to check that out you make it sound damn good 😉

Eagles of Death Metal - Peace Love Death Metal <-- some good, butt shakin' garage rock

The new Green Day album is also quite good.

I dug the Green Day rock opera. It got me into Tommy too. I am a rock opera fool.

misle: I have that DeArmond guit in your sig but rebadged as a Fender. Not bad for a LP klone.

Killers - Hot Fuss
or
Franz Ferdinand
or
Rogue Wave - Out of the Shadows
or
Division of Laura Lee - Das Not Compute

Franz Ferdinand is good
Also, "The Killers" have an awesome album.

I like U2's new album "How to dismantle and atomic bomb"
but I like "Hot Fuzz" by the killers
Franz Ferdinand is and excellent album
American Idiot is one of the best albums I have heard in my life
Modest Mouse has got a good album going too

with that said: it's gotta be one of the above ( I'd go with U2's bomb)

Regards

Sorry to hear you think that is music you are listening to. I guess if you think Britney Spears is a musician, that's fine though.
Sorry that you believe that others give a crap what you think.

Right, because Britney Spears and U2 are on the same level.
