How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb -U2

Sorry to hear you think that is music you are listening to. I guess if you think Britney Spears is a musician, that's fine though.

Right, because Britney Spears and U2 are on the same level.

they might as well be these days

Especially when you take into consideration that the average consumer under the age of 25 has their musical taste dictated to them by the Music Industries Big Wigs.

No, I can listen to U2 but I think I would purposely puncture my ear drums if I was forced to listen to Spears and any of that other crap that is popular these days.

I've been a U2 fan since I was first exposed to them ~15 years ago. I happen to like their sound and style. The industry has nothing to do with my preferences. Example? The last CD's I've bought: Dream Theater : Six Degrees of Inner Turbulance, Joe Satriani: Anthology, Stolt Morse Portnoy Trewavas -TransAtlantic.

Ugh....how can you say that? My wife bought it. She's a huge U2 fan by the way. Well both of us have listened to it several times and....well......it's not total crap...but it is a very average album at best.

The Killers - Hot Fuss
Interpol - Antics

But my fav. would have to be Arcade Fire - Funeral. Just a solid WHOLE album.

And whoever says that new U2 album is the best of 2004 obviously hasn't been searching out new music. A fair album at best...

Shinedown - Leave a Whisper

Thanks for the suggestions everyone... My girlfriend will now have a few more gifts to unwrap!
