Links? For what? *Confused*

Anyway, I'm going to be buying a new motherboard, hurrah! But I would like to know that the motherboard is my only concern:

The Computer Gets VERY HOT, but have adequate thermal paste on both cpu and gfx
Computer beeps like an old police siren when game's are on at times or when windows was installing
Downloads are 99% of the time corrupted
Downloads go very slow (Network is fine, my other computers on the same network never had corrupted files and they download very fast.. from 600kb/s to 1400kb/s.. not the ~30 or so this computer does.. (The ethernet port maybe??)
USB Controller isn't recognized by windows even after latest drivers or sp2 installed

If I had a new motherboard, will that fix these? I hope so.. :)

Also: That KN8 is 70+, not 50.

i'm sure you already know (and probably sick of hearing by now), but it seems that you either have a defective mb or an overheating issue. but before you go and spend more money on a new mb, you should perhaps, once more, start from the basics (minimal hardware, inspecting the hardware, checking BIOS settings) and work your way up, just to make sure that heat is not the issue. seeing as how your mb initially beeped during windows installation and then stopped after applying new goo (and only to reappear during heavy gaming), it seems like there is some temp issue (but then again, it could just be a bad mb, you never know :D ) Here are some things that you could double check:

1. did the CPU Heatsink/Fan come with CPU or are you reusing it from a previous computer?
2. what kind of goo are you using?
3. do the CPU/GPU fans appear to be spinning at norm? (also verify that CPU fan power is correctly connected to the right switch i.e. CPU fan vs. Case fan - should be labeled on the mb)
4. is the HS tightly mounted on to the CPU/GPU (if you can wiggle it easily = bad)?
5. how about the HS on the north/south bridge (if any)? are they securely on?
6. use mb software to check the fan RPM and voltage to make sure they're within norm
7. reset the BIOS and start from scratch; and i think it's pretty important that you do make sure all settings are correct - btw, make sure you have the most updated BIOS version as well (check each setting one by one, and if you're not familiar with it post questions on it here - btw, turn off the quick posting setting so it can check the RAM)
8. do you have access to a PSU that has 24 pin connector for testing?

hope you can fix your computer.

cheers

1. The heatsink came from the CPU
2. The Type of Goo' that Im using: Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound
3. CPU Fan's speeding along just fine, and is connected perfectly.
4. HS is very tight on the CPU, doesn't wiggle even the slightest.
5. Everythings on tight
6. Checked the specs on voltages, they are normal as well
7. Flashed the BIOS, and downloaded newest version
8. Do not have access to a 24pin PSU

That didn't fix it. Im going to start looking for a new motherboard, the RMA wont fall through with the one I have so buying a new one is in order. I opened a thread on this new topic here: http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.aspx?catid=27&threadid=1896234

Thanks to EVERYONE for their input, I'm glad the help was availible when i needed it! :D

Thanks again all!
