Alabama Governor offends just about every religion that's not Christianity.

I don't know. It is an odd comment for him to make but this is the Bible Belt and his base is religious.

No amount of pay would get me to live the the southeast. A few pockets here and there of civilization. Seems to be related to something that happened about 1860.

News at 11, Liberal demands people be atheists, or at least pretend they are.

We demand people act like atheists all the time.

If you let God take over for you while driving on the highway, people are gonna have a problem with it.

God told you to shoot Congresswoman Giffords? Well, you shouldn't have listened.

The Bible demands that you stone witches? Sorry, the government retains the exclusive right to trial and punishment.

The Devil made you steal? Well the Judge will make you pay.

Allah wants you to set off a bomb at an elementary school? Meet the FBI.

Religious language is fine as long as it doesn't indicate insane religion-driven action is likely to follow. The problem with the Governor's hard grouping is that it indicates that he has no wider perspective with which to keep his actions in check. And this can be read as a go-ahead by other religious nutters to let loose their restrictions. Government employees all over Alabama could unleash their desire to discriminate against nonchristians knowing that there won't be any action taken on a state level. For nonchristians to have no protections until the Federal level is a huge deal.

Which is a fucking problem when he is wielding the hammer of Governor. It ain't his job to convert anyone. The office of Governor is not an ecclesial position.

No, Einstein, it isn't that I don't understand the language, it is that you don't understand the psychology.
Creating an ingroup creates an outgroup. He has specified what his ingroup is. Guess where everybody else is?

Christianity does not exactly have a glowing record in regards to how it treats the outgroup. Unless you're talking about the glowing hot pincers.

There's a reason why the First Amendment exists. But he has all but said that he can't see a reason for its existence.

The black/ white thing wouldn't work.

It's OK to hate people who lack logic, and yet are able to make important decisions in todays society.

The Jew comment you made is an example of speaking without logic.

but THATs logical? the percent of people that so wackass religious they wont take kids to doctors is so extremely low, and those arent crazy enough to 'let god drive their car'

christians lack logic?

are you fucking serious?

ow I remember why I stay out of P&N.

you guys are trolling or crazy/stupid, and I am leaning towards the later, especially with Mr "I'm ENGLIST not British even though they arent mutually exclusive and I am technically ALSO British"

but THATs logical?

If you let God take over for you while driving on the highway, people are gonna have a problem with it. Letting your imaginary friend drive is not logical

God told you to shoot Congresswoman Giffords? Well, you shouldn't have listened. Listening to your imaginary friend when he tells you to kill is not logical

The Bible demands that you stone witches? Sorry, the government retains the exclusive right to trial and punishment.Listening to a two thousand year old book with no idea about who wrote it, how it has been changed or the logical basis for its claims, is not logical

The Devil made you steal? Well the Judge will make you pay.Listening to your imaginary friend when he tells you to steal is not logical

Allah wants you to set off a bomb at an elementary school? Meet the FBI.Listening to your imaginary friend when he tells you to blow up a school is not logical

I've explained the lack of logic above for you in bold.

Secondly I'm not "ENGLIST" I'm English, while the two are not mutally excessive americans tend to call English people "Brits" Scottish people; Scottish, Welsh people Welsh, while they are all british. That is illogical

It's not just christians who lack logic, it's anyone who follows one of the mainstream religions, from believing in Thor to believing in a christian god, there is no logic.

I know some Irish who'd disagree with you.

Yeah scratch that, they are a part of The UK, not Great Britain.

Still Americans call Scottish people scottish, welsh people welsh etc etc But English people British.

No logic to that.

This was an example of a logical argument, I stated something that was incorrect, you pointed out that I was incorrect, based on the FACT that Ireland is not a part of Great Britain, then I agreed and changed my original statement, however the same logic does not apply to Christians, there is no logic behind their belief just illogic, or what they call "faith". They cannot prove god, I can prove that a christian god does not exist using logic and the only counter arguments that christians will use are based on "faith" or illogic.

A Christian god does not exist.

Even if you can't disprove god that doesn't make valid grounds to believe in it's existence, in actual fact you can't disprove fairies or unicorns but that doesn't mean you should believe in them.

Uh...you still missed my point.

Your point was that I am both English and British, I am.

However Scottish people are also British, so are Welsh people, but for some reason americans call them by their nationalities and call me British.

This is just derailing my point. Christianity is a plague of illogic, a disease spreading intolerance and lack of reason across the planet.

No, you keep missing my point, and it is so obvious.

You posted "Irish people Irish, while they are all british".

I know 4.5 million people in the Republic of Ireland who would disagree with you.

Good. Because Irish people ARE NOT BRITISH. Southern Ireland is part of the UK, not Great Britain. Wtf is your point?

Yes WE Know that!

YOU ARE THE ONE WHO POSTED IT, YOU TWIT.

Then accepted that I posted it wrong and changed it, Ireland is not part of great britain, south ireland is part of the UK however. In any event I have accepted that I misspoke in my previous statement. There is still no logic to the way Americans call english people british but other british nations by their nationality. There is also no logic to Christianity. These were my points, you've said nothing to dispute them.

You said I missed your point.! No I didn't... I noticed your point and accepted it.

No, it is the NORTHERN part that is part of the U.K.

The Southern part is the Republic of Ireland.

True. I know little about Ireland.

It's obvious you don't care about this thread. Why not start a thread about the politics of Ireland if that's what you want to talk about.

Read your previous posts...you post like a drunken teenager.

You don't even understand the political boundaries of your own nation, yet you think it's "funny" that some ignorant Americans call you a "Brit".

I don't think it's funny it's annoying.

If you want to continue the discussion about geography/ British politics, please PM me. otherwise I'm waiting for something about Christianity.

Hey Falwell, it's spelled God.
That's actually a Jewish thing, not a Christian thing. It's a habit, although not something I always do and certainly not something about which I'm fanatical. I know it doesn't make much sense to write "god" but not "God", but as I said, it's a habit.

On the plus side, it seems to irritate the foaming pus out of progressives, so it's probably worth keeping. 😀

... but everyone already know that if you don't believe in Jesus Christ then you are an enemy of God ... of the Satanic forces ... and must be eliminated. Watch out Jews, atheists and Buddhists and Muslims ...

I will be the spear of God that cleanses this wretched of non believers ...

Actually it does make sense, the capital letter is meant for proper nouns as far as I'm aware, not just nouns, so when you are talking about gods in general, as a concept for example then it's the same as saying horses, you don't need capital letters, if you are talking about a horse called Horse then it needs a capital. So unless you are talking about a specific god then it needs a capital, like Charlie the unicorn. needs a capital C but not a capital u.
