the "capture" of "#3" is great, but when he states that this is a political move on Musharrafs part, he is very likely correct.

He's somehow trying to turn the capture of the #3 Al Qaeda guy into a negative. Isn't it great how biased he is...?

In support of conjur, I shall repeat what I said on another thread: Osama Bin Laden was seen by a french commando in Pakistan (through their long range googles) a year ago. They asked US forces what to do. The answer was clear: "nothing!"
This was revealed by an intelligence expert working for the french DoD (he heads the "special forces" journal, and teaches at Paris most prestigious university), Eric Denécé, on french public television. This guy is the expert most often interviewed by french journalists about Al Qaida and terrorism. He is the unofficial voice of the french DoD.

I'm not kissing anyone's ass. I have posted many times before on similar subjects. Should I take it you are sucking on Genx? Or, better yet, Bush?

lol.

My ONLY point is that this is most likely a political move, and for you to go and say PROVE IT PROVE IT, is b.s. Thats kinda like when Johny Cochran said the prosecution had to PROVE that OJ was guilty.

We all know the guy was guilty, sometimes you don't need to PROVE it. Heck, bush didn't have to PROVE that Iraq had WMD, he still went there, spent 100 billion or whatever, killed innocents, had innocent soldiers killed, and NOTHING was PROVEN. So get off this B.S. Prove it crap.

BTW, till today, there is no hard evidence that Osama Bin Laden is responsible for 9/11 attacks. He claimed responsibility, but that still doesn't PROVE it. In his circles, to claim responsibilty for 9/11 is akin to winning an olympic medal.

If you want to battle with me on Islamic terrorism or South-Central Asian politics I wish you good luck.

Use google to translate it! It says what I wrote. I saw Denécé when he said it on french TV. The other experts agreed that everyone knew where Bin Laden was in Pakistan: in Waziristan.

thats great, so one source, one FRENCH source reported this info....wow...i ma believer....not...interesting, but id have to see more info

US forces cannot operate in Pakistan, Pakistan won't allow it. Our only recourse has been to try to seal the border and get Pakistan to try to search Waziristan (an area that is semi-autonomous and the Pakistan government hasn't in the past operated in). It's a very complicated situation and US forces running off into another country could end Paksitans cooperation in the war on terror, we must respect their soverienity and offer help, assistance and encouragement to search the area, and they have been doing just that something like 200 pakistani troops have died searching waziristan.

On sept 13 2004, I picked up interesting news on Sat fed french television.

After escaping capture by french special forces in March 2004 as reported by Liz Sly in the Chicago Tribune article below,

QUOTE
...
March 8 New Yorker article said U.S. forces think they have found the 6-foot-5-inch bin Laden in the wilderness of north Pakistan, where he may be able to blend in with a tribe of tall people.

And, the head of France's armed forces said Monday that bin Laden narrowly escaped capture by French troops working with American forces in Afghanistan, perhaps several times. Gen. Henri Bentegeat did not say when or where the escapes happened.

Eric Denece, ex-intelligence analyst and current director of the French Center of Intelligence Research, has just declared on the french channel 5 political TV show "C dans l'air", that Osama Bin Laden has again been recently "visually" spotted and identified by French special forces on the ground. On informing US high command, French forces have been instructed to suspend and hold *all* further operations to either capture Bin Laden or maintain monitoring.

Eric Denece suggested that the Pentagon has a "lock" on Bin Laden's exact location and that capturing him is only a matter of decision.

You did not say bin Laden was not in the list.

If I mis-interpreted your statement; I apologize.

I felt that you were indicating that the al-Qaida terrorists were not on the most wanted list; where you had obviously posted two list that showed them on it.

You implied that bin Laden wasn't on the list exactly at that spot. While not explicit, the implication is clearly there.

Please DO hold your breath, you'd do the world a lot of good if you just held it for, oh, say, 9 minutes, maybe 10!

Ah, and so we're taking the word of ONE person as absolute, concrete fact, is that correct? Where are the US forces who were contacted? Surely someone involved in that chain of command recalls the event, yes? Where also is this "French Commando" (and isn't that a contradiction in terms?) and his "eye witness" account?

What kind of nonsense is this? Somehow the issue of Osama's guilt on 9/11 is correlated to OJ simpson and his murder trial? In the first place, Cochran was RIGHT that the prosecution needed to prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, that OJ was guilty (and the prosecution DID so, the Jury was just full of morons). Second, Osama ADMITTING to 9/11 is more than adequate to have him convicted and executed for the crime, which would please, I think, virtually anyone here.

OK, and ONE guy claiming so on French TV makes it fact? If there's so much truth to the story, why didn't more news agencies pick it up? Where are all the large, legitimate news agency reports on this topic? Dan Rather would have LOVED this one about 8 months ago if there were anything to it. Apparently the source stunk so bad even his kind of media wouldn't touch it.

Oh wait, it must be Bush's fault, he's got an iron fist on 100% of the media out there and threatened to kill all of them if they broke the story, right? Come on, Conjur, it's GOT to be Bush's fault, so google some links and spin us a tale, we're all waiting!
