Eventually the ringleaders get complient and/or make a mistake.

If nothing else, perserverence on the chase wears them down.

we may be able to get confirmation on the status of Osama bin Laden at a minimum.

The man thought to be al-Qaida's operations commander, and who might know where Osama bin Laden is hiding, has been arrested in Pakistan

Link does not say how they tracked him down though.

Damn war on terror. I can't believe that Bush would dare to arrest someone and allow Pakistan to hold him.

We should bring him here and free him on bond. That would be the right thing to do.

They tracked him down as they've had him on ice for a while. Opportune time for the Propagandist's buddy, Musharraf, to "find" a "leader" of al Qaeda when his poll numbers are collapsing and death and destruction reigns in Iraq. Guess Michael Jackson and Runaway Bride aren't keeping people's attention off the truth enough.

Good news, no great news. I'm for anything that will help bring bin Laden to justice and get our boys home ASAP.

Sounds like great news to me. Hopefully they can find OBL for us too since Bush doesn't seem to be too interested in the man lately.

nice assumptions you got proof? other than ur left wing grassroots websites?????

and if they did keep him on ice, understand this, if they capture someone who knows things, and dont make it public right away, and the enemy doesnt knwo he has been caputred, they wont change plans for things he may have known, this is a way to take advantage of good intel before its becomes uselss intel, not to mislead poor old conjur.

if the enemeny knows he is caputred, anything he may have known is now comprised, and they will change plans

Proof?? (that he was held until needed for a poll boost)

Or is this just anything but Bush response.

Just look at the history of these "finds" and "captures". They've always come at opportune moments to boost the Propagandist's ratings or to garner front-page news from something that looks bad upon the administration. They've been doing it from day 1.

Terror alert based on 'plot' three years old
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jh...et=/portal/2004/08/04/ixportaltop.html
Bush administration officials furiously denied yesterday that they were playing politics with terrorism after it emerged that most, if not all, of the intelligence that led to this week's dramatic alert was at least three years old.

Security was tightened in New York, Washington and Newark, New Jersey, on Monday after warnings that graphic new intelligence showed al-Qa'eda had been plotting to attack five major financial centres. Reports suggested that Britain was also under threat.

As alarm spread across America, the intelligence was widely seen as the most telling evidence of al-Qa'eda's intent since the September 11 attacks in 2001.

But administration officials conceded that most of al-Qa'eda's information about the buildings was gathered three or four years ago. The revelation added to Democrats' suspicions that the alert was timed to divert attention from them after their convention last week.

That proves it

That's just two in a long pattern. Look at the "terror alerts" and how they've been timed to boost sagging ratings or squash bad news. The proof is in the pudding.

I understand your incredibly poorly-type sentiment but you are still missing the entire point. The revealing of these "arrests" are timed to be politically advantageous to the Propagandist.

I get mad when I think about how long ago we may have caught him and other terrorists if we didn't waste so much money and time on Iraq and their oil.

Damn Bush! :|

hey buddy, umm not to burst ur bubble, your linking me to your posts.....not the kinda of proff im looking. your still making assumptions, which, could be right. sure there may be some political play here, BUT THIS IS ALSO A POINT TO HOLDING WITHOUT RELEASING KNOWLEDGE OF CAPTURE, thats what i was tryign to say.

are you not happy we continue to caputre more and more of these people??? or does that make you upset, does SUCCESS make you upset?

Posts that link to articles showing the correlation between terror alerts and sagging ratings for the Propagandist. Jesus Christ, do you really not read anything?

isee, and you make the a valid point and observations, but still, there are reasons for holding people without releasing knowledge, and as much sense this makes, you can't admit it.

Like i said, you make a valid point about timing, and sure there may be some political play, BUT HOLY CRAP IT DOESN'T CHANGE THE FACT THAT THEY CAPUTRED THEM!

Yes, it's good these people are being captured and, hopefully, good information comes out of them. But, I just wonder if they'll act on it properly. Ressam was giving up reams of info and nothing was done to act on that info prior to 9/11.

I also have a big problem with the propagandizing of these captured terrorists to boost sagging ratings. It's dishonest, at best.

ALL POLITICANS DO IT. clintion did with this scandal and attacking bin laden, and missing, and refusing to send in SF, even though missles failed.
