Well apparently the only thing they think will solve thier problems is violoence against innocent people caught in thier crosshairs. Personally I say if they kill a civilain, then lets
kill 10 of thier comrades in a fashion that defiles them and does not permit thier passage to meet Allah and the 72 virgins awaiting them. Eventually they will get the point and stop or we'll get to
all of them and there will be no one left.

What do you expect from those inhumane savages? Hell they've been doing that to each other for centuries, you expect them to treat us any better than they treat themselves? IMO liberating them isn't worth one American Sevicemans life. The best way to deal with them is to find an alternative fuel source which in turn would render them insignificant on the grand scale of things and we could just write them off and let them get back to killing and buggering each other!

And before some Bleeding Heart calls me a racist, this has nothing to do with their race, just their ass backward culture of violence and mayhem! You don't see people of Arab Descent doing this crap in western countries with advanced cultures.

what a simplistic understanding of the whole situation in the mid east and the reason these killings are done like this!

It is simple. The reason killings like these are done like this is that they still think they can shock us into submitting to their demands. According to Bin Laden, Westerners don't have the stomach for it. I guess they were right in Spain.
The thing is, in Spain the Government didn't have the majority of the voters support regarding Iraq. In the US crap like this is only going to piss us off. Of course if we spent as much effort going after Al Qaeda as we did with the Dub's excellent adventure in Iraq, Al Qaeda would be to afraid to show their mugs outside of a cave now!
Agreed.

Hopefully making Pakistan a major non-nato ally is a first step in actually making a concerted effort to go after the Al Qaeda members there.

How many Americans were beheaded in Saudi Arabia before the Iraq war?

Was not the Iraq war supposed to stabilize the region?

Just asking.

B.

Plenty of americans have been killed in Saudia Arabia before the Iraq war, maybe not by kidnapping and beheading, but many have been gunned down or blown up prior to the Iraq War.

For every terrorist you kill, ten more sign up to take his place. Why don't more people realize this? I saw a bumper sticker the other day that said "We are creating more enemies faster than we can kill them." This is ridiculously true. Terrorism is culturally supported, and unless you do something about the culture they're going to keep on coming, keep on running, and keep on waging this 'war.' The solution: moderate Islam. No militant Islam, no terrorism.

rom Iran, but never been there or plan on going. Born and Raised in the U.S

Which is it? Are you from the Middle East, or are you from the US? Hate to break it to you, but if you were born here and have never even been 'there,' that doesn't make you "from over there."

Touche. Many here at AT need to get a grip on the concept of cause-and-effect.

The answer is painfully obvious. The entire region needs to be nuked into a big piece of glass.

BugsBunny-Not very funny. Genocide is not the answer. Watch out cause maybe some day someone who is bigger and stronger than you may decide that killing you and your entire family/race/city/nation is the way to work with you instead of diplomacy/alternative methods.

Look at Rwanda and see what happens when Genocide fever takes affect.

It does'nt have to be this way you know. We need objectivity in ME. We to stop supporting these totalitarian regimes which spawn this hopelessness and fanatical adhesion to preverted Islam.

Then you kill those ten, and you kill the next 100, and the next 1000 until there is nothing left. Either the human race expunges this kind of thinking or we deserve extinction.

I agree...

What else should we do? Appease them? Is there such a thing?

The sad truth it is kill or be killed.

If it is death they want, then we shall bring it to them!

They should all be prepared to meet allah - in hell

theres always gonna be extremists, thats a give. It's like dealing with idiots - dont give em a reason to start and you're all set.

Also i would go making those kinda statements unless you're in baghdad wearing ballistic kevlar right now. You'll come off like that man who said "bring em on" while ago...

Yeah, let's sympathize with them and see their side too. I mean we have to be fair.

Perknose - The Khobar Towers bombing predates the Iraq war by quite a few years. That is one example.

The terrorists have greatly stepped up the pressure on the ruling family, but there has been voience aimed at Americans for quite a while.

That might be one of the best posts I've read here in a year, particularly the first paragraph.

HOLY SCHNIKEES!! I have finally aggreed with Red Dawn.... to an extent. I say you have to crack some eggs to make an omlet. In this case the eggs are those sick b@stards heads. Least you forget the Saudis behead scores of peopls anually on the public square. Although they are denouncing this act, it would be political and and nation-state sucide not to, they perfomed it themselves on 52 men and 1 woman in 2003 for such petty things as the renunciation of a religious or political belief or allegiance. They also use it for drug traffickers, armed robbers and rapists.

that fuckin sucks...we dont do that to them, so how is that retaliation? retaliation for what? we made their prisoners prance around naked, so they feel its right to cut off the heads of INNOCENT people?

Of course! If Paul Johnson wasnt an American that wouldnt have happened to him. Paul gave them a reason. Its Pauls fault hes dead. Paul should have known that being American is a legitimate reason to be decapitated. Like halik says, if you dont give them a reason than things like this wouldnt happen. Shame on Paul!

ok well then, defile and kill 30 or 40 I really don't care how many it takes...like I said eventually they will cease OR there will be no one left.

Gee let's see...let's moderate a religion that has been twisted in this fasion for thousands of years...How long do you think it will take to un-ring this bell that has been ringing for more than a 2000 years?

I see he was heheaded wearing one of those Orange jumpers like the last one. When will the conspiracy theorists say this was staged by the coalition too?

The ironic part is that he isn't really an American ...rather he had been living in Saudi Arabia for a DECADE already and him and his wife were building a house in Thailand to move in shortly. He set himself apart with America and even went so far as to tell a friend he wanted to convert to being a muslim.

Which puts it in better perspective how further stupid these people USA is dealing with really are...
