Al Gore

Gore?s mansion, [20-room, eight-bathroom] located in the posh Belle Meade area of Nashville, consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year, according to the Nashville Electric Service (NES).

In his documentary, the former Vice President calls on Americans to conserve energy by reducing electricity consumption at home.

You gotta love this, he tells Americans to conserve energy at home while he's using 20 times more electricity that them at his own home.

It is hard to find a politician who isn't a hypocrite.. or a person for that matter. I am not insinuating that politicians aren't people, but, if you want to read it that way, it works 😀

And? So he's not the greatest dude. His behavior doesn't invalidate his points.
It just invalidates him.

If he wants to create discussion and inform people with all the research and work he put into the documentary; he can at least walk the talk or at least make an effort.

Hell with the money he has made from the documentary, he could slap a few solar panels and wind turbines on the house. He's worth a few million dollars.

Walk up to the house and check the meter like the electricity company does?

If you read the quotes you'd know.

& where does it say how they obtained that information?

Hell if such records are public I'll go stalk my neighbors.

Al Gore Is a hypocrite

There are worse things in life to be than a hypocrite. Unfortunately Al is some of those things too.

That being said ntdz, I daresay you know better than to look to a politician for a moral example. That's like looking to Rosanne Barr for singing lessons or tips on a healthy lifestyle.

Why do I have to repost this quote, it's right there.

Take anything from Drudge with a boatload of salt. Then, ignore it.

Instead of recognizing the success of Gore's impact by bringing the threat of global warming to high public profile, and his personal leadership in bringing the advantages of working toward a carbon neutral society, uninformed pissant do nothing right wing loudmouths find it more entertaining to flame anyone who is actually doing something constructive about the problem.

I can't wait to see how they go after him if he wins the Nobel Peace Prize.

Former VP?
I think Paris Hilton is better protected...

Are you disputing that these claims are true? I've never really known Drudge to lie.

So you are saying that the electric company is going around telling the media about Al Gore's electric usage?

I'm saying that's the source for the info.

How are you so confused about this? Did you not realize that electric companies keep track of how much electricity is used by their customers? How do think that the electric companies decide how much your bill is each month?

According to who?

Show me a press release by the electric company.

So the electric company just decided out of the blue to come out and reveal one of their customer's electric bill information to the media?

That is an easy win lawsuit right there.

So what is the point of your post? Are you disputing the amount of energy that Al Gore consumes? Are you defending an obvious hypocrite? You guys love to go after the religious right when one of them is caught doing something that goes against their Christian values, how is this any different?

What does that have to do with Al Gore not practicing what he preaches?

He drives huge SUV's and flys jets around all the time that get 3 gallons per mile as well.
