Oregon Police are all trailertrash pigs, I can attest to it.

The state is so goddamn backwards; they have a 10MPH difference between the max legal car speed and max legal truck speed, which is dangerous, IMHO.

Who likes to cruise on the highway and then run into a huge truck going 10MPH slower?

But I guess that's what keeps our POS Police Departments running, with all the BS fines they impose.

uhmm a lot of states have that. California has that too. That's why trucks are only allowed to stay on the right two lanes.

Those speed limit differences are only on rural multi-lane highways where the max car limit is 65 and trucks are required to stay in the right lane except to pass and on larger highways are never allowed outside the right 2 lanes (if 3 or more lanes each way). Perhaps you missed those BIG white signs that are all over the freeways that say that?

Anyway, 75 on the 26 in Clatsop county is just begging to get a ticket. Welcome to Oregon, Al! :) I wonder if he was on the big hill at about MP 12 or near the rest area at about MP 30. Both of those are big speed traps and are about the only passing areas on that mostly bumpy and windy and downright dangerous 2 lane blacktop.

edit: BTW, if you don't like it, you can fscking go back to whatever hole you crawled out of because we don't want you here, thank you very much.

What the heck you talking about. In Cali is the same thing. 65 for cars, 55 for big rigs.

I know I don't awnt some god damn big rig barreling down on me. When I'm going 65 and I see a big rig closing down on me (going 70 or so) it scares the sh1t outa me for some reason.

And is it jsut me, or does the forumg "upgrade" doesn't even tell you waht forbidden word you wrote anymore. It just says forbidden word. I had to read the whole thing to find the sh1t.

WTF? They give you 4 months to deal with a speeding ticket in Oregon? Here in NH it's 30 days. Also...$141 for 75 in a 55?!?!

WTF? Your ignorance is becoming obvious... A simple 75 in a 55mph and you would arrest the guy and impound the car? I've had a ticket for 109mph in a 65mph, and a 100mph in a 55mph and I was simply given a ticket with a court date. I'm guessing you would do that simply because of who was pulled over.

Oh wait...you're from Georgia...explains a lot.

I'm not from Georgia and you a fvcking retard. Although it was a joke the next time your retarded ass decides to endanger others by going 109 in 65 please read the back of your fvcking ticket. You can in fact be arrested. Thinking about it you must give one hell of a blowjob to only get a ticket for 109 in a 65. Well you are probably just lying but anyway you are the ignorant one.

Well, you might want to change your profile that says you are in Atlanta, Georgia. Oh, and thanks...coming from you, I'll take that as a compliment.

First off, I'm sure you are extremely familiar with the roads and traffic up here in rural New Hampshire as well as the traffic laws. Second, I'm sure you also know I go to work @ 11pm, and there is no traffic to speak of. Third, I didn't say I couldn't be arrested, I just said I wasn't. The officer informed me he could arrest me, but due to the traffic conditions, and the fact that I was cooperative and polite, he gave me a ticket. It was a ticket, but not one with a fine...it was a must appear ticket. I went to court on the date posted, plead guilty, and lost my license for 15 days and paid a $500 fine. I don't still have the 109mph ticket as it was over 4 years ago, but I still have the 100 in a 55mph one...would you like me to take a picture and post it for ya chief?

Yeah, sure. The cop and I went off into the woods and I treated him right.

Well you are probably just lying but anyway you are the ignorant one.

Again, coming from you "ignorant" is a compliment sparky.

uhm. a LOT of states have the 10mph difference. It is a good idea. I don't want a huge semi coming up behind me at 65-75mph. And if you hit a truck that is in front of you then you shouldn't be driving in the first place.

And second Police Departments don't impose the fines. they just enforce them.

of course this really ruins the chances of anyone else getting out of a ticket along that stretch of road. the cops will say "we ticketed the former VP, and you think I'm gonna let you off with a warning?"

I on that road every once in a while and 75 just a little over normal traffic speed there. It's in the middle of nowhere, there's not much traffic, and it's straight.

1. "In" does not equal "from".

2. You said I was somehow ignorant because I said I would have arrested him (even though it was a joke)
and the fact is as you said yourself you can be arrested. Laws do not vary that much by state when it comes to speeding.

3. If sucking dick gives you so much pleasure that your eyes roll around I really don't want to know.

4.Yeah I'm ignorant and you the 15 year old geek is all knowing.

heh, good point.

Yay to Gore for speeding just like a regular human being, but NOT thinking he could pull the VP card and get away with it.

Yay to the cops for not making exceptions.

Boo to Oregon for low speed limits :p

This thread is the funnay :)

I was watching a thing on Oregon and how their state troopers are on the short end of the budget stick - something like when they did an interview, there literally was only 2 state troopers on duty in the entire state. (Maybe I heard wrong - maybe it was for that city, can't remember) I guess they need every ticket they can get.

If I were that cop, I would have given him a warning and said "oh yea, I voted for Bush" and walked away :)

Are you kidding or are you just ignorant?

no kidding. when there are few cars on the freeway and all are going 75-80...the cops should just do something more useful.. like fight crime:p hate it when cops go onto free flowing traffic and muck it up,
