From a political long game view though his resignation removes a piece from the board that can be used against the Dems and will further widen the gulf Republicans are finding with women voters.
I'd agree completely if Trump wasn't elected. That fact alone makes me wonder.

I still support franklin but I understand the politics. Be nice if someone with some $$ could look into these alleged groupings. Maybe he'll go back to writing more books.

I think the Democrats are going to outperform Hillary with women basically everywhere that isn't a Republican stronghold. The VA elections seem to indicate that as a distinct possibility.

Really? How so? Trump didn't seem to have an issue with women voters.

Things change when there is no longer a polarizing opponent and the full monumental shitbaggery that is Trump exists on it's own in the spotlight.

Putting a credibly accused child molester who's real bad at lying into the senate will also help the GOP brand.

So Franken has an announcement for us tomorrow. What will it be?

Is he is going to step down and suggest all other politicians embroiled in the same issue do likewise?

Or! Maybe he gets extra spicy, tells everyone enough with the step down talk. Basically 'I'm a non-violent weirdo who thinks I'm always funny. The sexual predators are that way.'

I think he is going to step down.

He should resign. I initially supported him but at this point be basically to do it at least the set a positive precedent for how such behavior should be treated.

It's good to know the Democratic party has a moral backbone still unlike their red team counterparts who are basically held up by the starch in their shirts alone.

Franken is toast. I would speculate that Schumer may have had a candid discussion with him about what might come out in an ethics investigation, and that he probably didn’t like the answer. So sad.

Too bad the left doesn’t have a Breitbart equivalent to check out the accusers, weren’t the first few all Trump voters which is odd considering they were getting their pictures taken with a Dem Senator
