heh yeah porn machines. What about when children go through them? are the poeple runing the machine going to get nailed for child porn?
Some European countries have already declared the machines against child porn laws.

The full body scanners that President Obama last night authorized to be rolled out in airports across the country at a cost of over $1 billion dollars not only produce detailed pictures of your genitals, but once inverted some of those images also display your naked body in full living color. It is important to stress that this is a low resolution image. Airport screeners will have access to huge high definition images that, once inverted, will allow them to see every detail of your body.

yeah the xray can obviously be inverted and will recreate her thong tan line 🙄

not to mention the the glock changes orientation between the frontal and rear view

They will then switch to surgically implanted explosives.

shhh.... maybe they haven't watched the dark night yet and figured that out...

they could start sending people who don't even know they are bombs... "oh, akmed, that pain you have after eating at my house must be a bad appendix... we'll have doctor assa fix you up and you can take a nice vacation to america to recover!!!" capsule breaks @ 25000' and it's virgins all around...

it'll be interesting to see how the management of these groups deals with declining numbers of people who will willingly kill themselves...

I believe the crotch area and face are automatically blurred by the software. The image will also be viewed by people in a room where they cannot peek out or around the corner and view the face of the person being scanned.

I really don't have much of an issue with this technology.

I hope you go to another country and get raped, whether sexually or not, while there.

I'll never fly out of an airport that has this , the newer scanners are going over the edge.

I'll stick by Ben's side on this

So... when Paris Hilton walks though one of these, how many hours do you think we'll have to wait before the photos are on TMZ? 🙂

I suspect you're joking, but I think that's likely. People (IRS agents) already steal signatuures off of celebrity tax returns for big bucks, etc. Just imagine how much $'s some minimum wage TSA agents could get selling pics of celebrities they get off the scanner in LA or NY?

-snip-.

IMO it's a waste of money, and creates more airport delays; not needed.

Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it whether it exists or not, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedy.

^ The underwear bomber problem was NOT one of a lack of eqiupment, therefor you do not fix that problem by buying more (unnecessary) equipment.

Stupid, and I suspect meant to demonstrate they are doing something and reasure people more than anything else.

So if the images are deleted, how will the TSA agents show probably cause for a full body search in court?

I suppose they don't have to in the 1st place.

If they did, they'd probably have to demonstrate probable cause to make you stand in the scanner to begin with.

Most likely they will not be obligated to. It will be a case of "if you have nothing to hide, then you have no reason to object".

Except that doesn't hold water in a court of law.
If (for example) a police officer stops you for speeding and then requests to search your car and you say no, that is not probably cause for them to execute the search anyways.

In any event, with the amount of heat the TSA is getting in the blogosphere right now regarding their service and professionalism, I can't wait for biggovernment.com to produce some hidden videos.

The latest legal theories are basically that by attempting to board a plane, you consent to basically unlimited searches, esp at an international airport.

Yes. I am a lawyer.

so what happens when the next terrorist attack is on our highway systems, bridges or maybe in our malls?

I guess at that point we have to shop and drive around nekkid or get thrown in jail!!

Since these machines can't see what's under the skin, I foresee some dumbass hiding an explosive under his fat roll.

It's not that hard, concealing the underwear bomber's amount under a manboob or his spare tire.
