Cuz most of the students in my school are retards and would actually use Wiki as a source AND acknowledge it in the Works Cited page. I am not all too surprised that our school would ban it altogether to reduce the hassle from the professor.

The irony here is that wikipedia often links to valid sources for citing. I'd wonder what else your school blocks.
