So, finally a new episode after three weeks. More on the lighter, Sisterhooves Social-side of things, but Applebloom = automatic cuteness = automatic win.

New episode had so much fan service and so much greatness, and where recent episodes have kind of been losing the dynamic between the friends due to the whole everyone-writes-to-Celestia-now thing, they really brought it back. One of the best so far. :wub:

To bad they made her a total clumsy dumbass...would have been much better if she was skilled and intelligent. So what if she has a physical issue and made a mistake earlier.

Well she's said to be something of a mascot for the "other" fanbase. Maybe that's how the writers view that base. 😀

Following after the "Bubbles" storyline would've made for an interesting character, but I don't know how well the writers could've gotten something like that into this sort of show.
 
I don't see how she was any more "retarded" in the newest than in earlier ones. She's made mistakes before (pulling the plug at the apple bob, sticking her head through the curtain before the show started, flying north (and west) for the southern birds, etc. Should they decide to incorporate her further, they could still reconcile previous acts as mere clumsiness or social unawareness.

EDIT: btw, witnessed a pony reference in real life for the first time today. Two girls were hounding this guy to do something Facebook related and he didn't want to (he said "I better not wake up tomorrow and see myself tagged" or something) and then one of the girls said "No, I will not! Pinkie Pie swear!" and then he said "Ponies, huh?"

Season 1 she only made one mistake, and we don't actually know if it was entirely her fault. Still she was branded as a clumsy retard and theyve spent all of season 2 cementing that. There really is no going back now...

In the holiday episode at least, I looked at her behavior (waving to the crowd/camera, etc) as that of a proper A/V geek or drama club nerd, and I'm ok with that. 😀

Maybe she's even like Twilight, except without the normalizing effect of the social support network that Twilight got squeezed into.
 
Two excellent episodes in a row. I cannot express the greatness of this newest episode except to say that once again there was a proper focus on macro-scale friendship, lots of brief but in-character jokes, and two of the best damn background ponies that ever existed.

Valentine's Day episode leaked by iTunes a few days early. Not on par with the previous three, but still quite good and with some of the cutest facial expressions thus far. :wub:
 
That had to be the most hideous episode so far (in a good way?)...I got a copy of the best parts and have been running it on as many public TVs as I can. Walmart, VideoOnly, Best Buy, Target...Ive got a Sears I can try next, then see if I can get it on the mall displays. Its not been to busy so Ive had lots of success (and I don't have anything else to do).

Ive got a cheap media player thing I play it on to show people, its fun just asking/showing that around. I've gotten some excellent responses so far.

That gives me an idea, maybe I should get the theme song and demo some speakers... 😀
