Thanks for the reponse, KT. In my case, I drew a mod who believes he's Roger Ramjet - one of these guys who maybe hasn't got the power he feels he deserves in real life and has found a way to talk to people as if he's General MacArthur. I guess that influenced my comments, but I also think it's bad business to alienate your long term members, whom I assume are the ones that drive the business.

With regard to the idea that I'm making a 'mountain' out of it... seriously? Because I posted in this thread? In my view, your comment is making a mountain out of a molehill!

With regard to the suggestion that I'm not a responsible adult... how I wish there was a magic portal that could open up and reveal which of us is the more responsible adult, which of us carries the greater responsibility. Too bad I won't live to see that bit of tech.

So as you can see, we have a slightly different perspective on this.

You got the same PM hundreds upon hundreds of other users have gotten. You chose to reply in tone, and you received a reply in tone. MOST users simply make the correction and move on, only a handful expect special treatment.

If you could post a link where I said or implied that, it would be helpful. Since I said or implied no such thing, I won't hold my breath. You suggested that I'm not a responsible adult (and please don't embarrass yourself by trying to deny it ['in this case' or 'in general' or whatever weak ass qualifier you want to put in there to obscure the evidence], or else delete the post in which you said it and then deny it). I countered by suggesting that I have more responsibilities than you, and that's something of which I'm 99.99% sure. The fact that you have the spare time to post here 24,567 times over the same period of time when I posted 374 times, and the fact that you decided to get into a flame war with an online internet personna is fairly compelling circumstantial evidence.

You have a point, but it's not quite as weak as 'If you were a responsible adult you'd blah blah blah'. Coming from a mod, that's really weak, especially when the alleged transgression couldn't possibly form the basis of an accusation of overriding adult irresponsibility.

I guess I shouldn't have expected Wharton MBA-level responses, but I'm a bit surprised that the owners of the site are okay with you guys running the business this way (mods treating like dirt and ganging long-time members who have never been involved in any kind of altercation with another member or mod). In any case, carry on. I actually do know that power can intoxicate just a bit, and this type of thing is essentially human nature, especially when it comes to online message boards.

I'll go back to being an anonymous member now.
