Awesome! What motor did you get a B16a1(2) or a B18c1? For that price I'm assuming a first gen B16a1, JDM spec. It's a nice motor.
Vtec at 5600 and responds nicely to mods. Add a intake and exhaust to liven it up a little and you'll notice a difference. ES Oval is an awesome muffler that looks like stock and will give you a few horses.
My B16a2 fully tuned and with all the bolt-on's would pull on V8 Camaro's.
Gotta love the look on their faces when a little Civic kept up with a 13-14 second car.
Enjoy that car!
HA!
Ya, you can keep up with an 86 IROC with a 305 in it, but remember, not all Camaros were created equal.![]()

Pics of the car?
If it is in tip top shape and you put a new motor and tranny in it, what is the problem? Good luck finding a reliable honda with low miles on the motor for that much.

I'd agree it wasn't the wisest decision but tell me where he can find another car for $2600 with only 30k miles on the engine and transmission? Trust me I've looked into another car before he had this done. Sure there were hundreds of cars in this price range but everyone of them were over 100k in mileage.
Man-O-Man this is a tough crowd!OP: your bro is a moron...and it runs in the family
